The third goal was far from lucky, a very good finish and although the 2nd goal had tons of luck at least Zamora chased it down and forced the error
we're a decent side who are not going to turn into world beaters anytime soon but we'll make the playoffs and when we do we are more than capable of winning them |
Agree Dave. Need to look at the positives sometimes, and it's a rare thing for us to win after going a goal behind this season, and however it was achieved, it has to be applauded. The players evidently kept going and things like last minute goals really help morale. It was especially good to win after the thrashing during the week. You don't come off the back of a trashing like that and play like champions.
Agree about Zamora goal - you make your own luck! Mackie often helped us get 'lucky' goals by sheer perseverence - that's not luck in the end. It's good hard work.
As for play-offs, that's still a long way from being achieved, but let's hope this result kicks us on a bit. Huge game on Tue. Our main issue is going to be with beating other top 6 sides. |  |

Tuesday, we were poor beyond belief and having travelling to Sheffield I was worried about a trip to Boro as I thought it had a dour 0 - 0 written all over it.
Was an OK game, even, draw would have been about fair but the 94th - 96th minute was great fun and makes you realise why you travel home and away every game in case things like that happen!
