It's a mad and very outdated to have all your teams playing the same way. That was fine for Wenger at Arsenal and Pep at Barcelona but what you want from your academy and development teams is to produce players who can adapt and play in different systems and positions because during their career that is what they will need to do if they have going to make it.
The first team should have a set style of how they are going to play under each manager but it's not realistic to have a club style regardless of who the manager is
I'd probably go with 3 at the back, would mean a bit more protection for Esquerdinha and Edwards is good enough on the ball to push into midfield when we have the ball.
Fair play for writing that up, it sums it all up very well.
I ranted about it on the Hoops & Dreams pod last night but game management of this team is bonkers. Wrexham at home was a special one but Tuesday was mad.
1-0 down right on half time just defend the corner, nothing else to do but you have one bloke unmarked 3 yards out, our defence too far away from the keeper allowing space and easy runs all before your keeper does that.
Then second half, you just stay in the game, nothing stupid get to 60-70 mins at 0-2 and try and play on their nerves nick a goal make it difficult but not a comically piss poor goal for 0-3.
Then we get a free kick and rather than just take sting out of the game which is clearly over we push everyone forward, your centre halves both up with only one player back, a quick counter and they are 3 against 1 in our half, the kind of goal you expect to see in the last minute when you are throwing everyone forward.
If you go back 50 years we've conceded 5 or more goals on 31 occasions. Since we came down in 2015 we've conceded 5 or more on 9 occasstions. We've conceded 4 goals in a game 16 times since 2015/16 as well.
To break that down a bit we've conceded 5 in a game 4 times since 15/16, We've let in 6 three times and let in 7 twice.
In those 50 years we've conceded 7 goals on 3 occassions, 2 of them have been in the last 10 years
These are some of the hidings we've had in the last 10 years, 10 at home 14 away. The other night wasn't a one off, standards at this club are through the floor. We go again though

We were close to the playoffs last February before the injuries hit.
Looking back at Match Previews for West Brom away we had the following missing - Jake Clarke-Salter, Zan Celar,Sam Field. Rayan Kolli,Michi Frey,Karamoko Dembele with Liam Morrison back in the squad after a two month absence.
Our forward options for that game was Alfie Lloyd who started on the bench or Paul Smyth who started up front.
We have a bigger squad this season but have still managed to get down to the bare bones
One thing to point out, Ben Williams job title is Director of Sporting Operations which has never been explained what that covers or what it means. The job title is very similar to Les ferdinands role although I have no idea if their responsoibilities are comparable.
The kit clash was so stupid, at least 3 times in the first half we thought a pass was on for a QPR player wide and it was a Southampton one, was obvious the kit clash was an issue.
Thats a big part of it, we started the season undercooked, unable to push on in the second half of games as we were not fit yet and it's been that way all season.
Not sure if it was on here or X I read this but RND made a run first half on the break about 60 yards and he looked as out of breath as I am when I climb the stairs to my Mum and Dads flat on the 4th floor. Hands on head, hands on hips bending over, I thought he was going to be sick.
They simply can't play at the same intesity 3 times in a week and for a championship club that is nowhere near good enough
