Come on my son.

The Establishment have wheeled out Blair and Brown in a desperate bid to derail him, even the Guardian is packing its pages with writers warning of the dangers of electing him. You know The Powerful are concerned. Good. If he wins I pledge to vote for the first time in my life.

Non-Labour people like half the parliamentary Labour Party, Labour List, Labour Uncut, most of their grandees and the Guardian and Independent.

I meant Tories, Tory party members, the Tory press and our right wing friends on here. If going to be such a disaster for the Labour Party, why do you go to such lengths to slag him off ?

Strong and stable my arse.

Probably because in their opinion they think he's an idiot and he'll be a disaster for the Labour Party. Or are only true socialists allowed to have an opinion on him?

It's not a conspiracy to slag him off because people secretly think he'll be great for Labour and be swept into power.

Because putting the opposition under scrutiny means they'll end up winning less seats in parliament and have less chance of forming a government.

For those Labour Party members and supporters who see Corbyn as a man who talks straight and offers the ideas that chime with those who vote for the Labour leader, just remember, if you're never in a position of power, I.e. government, it's all hot air.

But how can you say he'll never be in government?
That's your assumption, it may or may not be true.
Many people want him to have a crack at setting up an alternative, and others may take to it. You don't know it will never be in government. This is the beginning, who knows where the end is? So why not have a go?

Because I remember when Michael Foot was Labour leader and their manifesto was nicknamed "the longest suicide note in history". That wasn't entirely accurate but was fair.

However unfair the media's perception of Corbyn is, it will stick with the general public. You can become Labour leader by appealing to 250,000 Labour members. To win a General Election you have to appeal to 12m people. Most of them do not care about socially progressive policies but by how much money they have to support their families. As Bill Clinton once said "It's the economy, stupid".

He also said, "Oops, sorry honey, now make sure you clean that dress properly."
You don't know what the future holds. Let's just wait and see.
