Sheridan seriously upset the back-room staff at Newport last weekend followig his crass public comments about 'unprofessionalism' and 'poor preparation' when referring to the match postponement and appalling pitch.

"Looks like the one and only John Sheridan is returning as Latics manager. Chuffed to bits. Absolute hero of mine whether it was controlling games in his latter years as a player (when his dodgy knees meant he was unable to run - only a slight exaggeration) or giving sarcastic and cocky interviews as manager on the club's website. Once he was asked why we had gone in losing at half time and responded "cos we're shit". It may end badly of course, but until it does... "Oh Johnny, Johnny...". |  |
