Week 32 Results STOKE 1 CHELSEA 2 Cahill made up for conceding a penalty by scoring an 87th minute winner, as Stoke end with 10 men. This weeks banker had 3 getting it spot-on, with a further 18 having the outcome. BURTON 3 BRENTFORD 5 Brentford came from 3-1 down at half-time, to stage a remarkable second-half comeback. Obviously nobody had this spot-on, but 6 did get the outcome. OXFORD UNITED 2 SCUNTHORPE 1 Oxford get a 91st minute winner, as the Scunthorpe promotion hopes continue to crumble. That late winner was good news for the massive 9 who got this spot-on, in what was the weeks most predicted score, and 4 more had the outcome. LUTON 1 EXETER 1 Luton came from behind to get a draw that doesn't help either teams automatic promotion hopes. There were 4 who had this spot-on, and just 1 got the outcome. Luton was a popular choice to win here, with 18 predicting them to do just that, with 8 going for a 2-0 and for a 2-1. MANSFIELD 2 CARLISLE 0 Mansfield end their four-game goal drought, as they beat a Carlisle team who are now six games without a win, or a goal. Well done to jonestones for being the only one to get this spot-on, and a further 14 had the outcome. STEVENAGE 3 PORTSMOUTH 0 Stevenage make it nine wins from their last eleven games, as they get a comfortable victory against inconsistent 10-man Portsmouth. Nobody had this spot-on, and only 3 got the outcome. There were 17 who predicted Portsmouth to turn on the style that thrashed the U's last week. Not for the first time this season late goals put a different complexion to the weeks results. Those goals that gave Chelsea and Oxford 2-1 wins, turned what would have been a week of struggle for most, into a respectable one instead. It certainly made a difference for Daniel, as he had both those results spot-on, and with one other outcome, he got a very good 7 points. This score was matched by jonestones, who had the Luton 1-1 to go with his Mansfield 2-0 spot-on. To give us a three-way tie, regarding the weeks top scorer, Colukev achieved this score by having the Oxford 2-1 spot-on, and four other outcomes. There were two members this week who accidentally predicted two lots of predictions. When this happens, the rule is, I will always go with the first lot of predictions, unless I am specifically told the second ones are a replacement for the first ones. In the Premier, another solid week from mfb_cufc, enables him to extend his lead by a further 2 points. Sector4 retains the final Charity Shield qualifying spot, but another decent week from jonestones, is keeping the pressure on. The Gate16 slump continues, and instead of his usual position at the top end of the table, he could be facing, what I think, is a first ever relegation fight. In Division One, those late goals for Chelsea and Oxford saved basher2010 from getting a first ever blank week, but it is still a reduced lead for him, as a decent week for Colukev, puts him just 3 points behind again. But more importantly cements his automatic spot. The play-off picture is starting to look a bit clearer, with noah4x4 and mrhappy almost guaranteed a spot (if they fall short of the automatics), but as for the other two spots, it still all to play for. At the bottom, a decent week for Daniel gives him hope of avoiding the wooden spoon, for the third season running. THE TABLES (232 out of 280 played) (Tie-breaker: Most 3 pointers, and then the first to post) Week 33 Fixtures It is time for another International break week, so we have six fixtures from League 1 and 2.
