That’ll just be standard procedure for any collision involving the head. Hopefully he’ll be fine.
On the radio they thought concussion. However to be stretchered off it must have been a real crack on the head so I would imagine Accie would be extremely doubtful & even Newcastle could be a push
As I was walking back to the car I saw Rhys going into an ambulance in a wheelchair. The fact he was off the stretcher was already good news after that collision. From the brief glimpse I got he looked woozy and "out of it" but I wasn't going to stand there rubber necking. Just my guess but I suspect, apart from any injury to his mouth/teeth recovering, he will have to clear concussion protocols before he can play again.
