I know it’s considered controversial by the site admin to post anti-Liverpool stuff on a Southampton forum, but the scousers and their media friends have been giving it the big’un all week about the ‘special’ and ‘intimidating’ atmosphere that awaits Atletico (as if they have no experience of it at their own stadium). PLEASE Atleti, in the name of the little good that still exists in football, get an early goal and shut them all up. If it was the last game they get to watch before the rest of the season is played behind closed doors that would be even better!

The pundits seem genuinely distraught and outraged by Atletico’s celebrations. Why do they assume that their viewers always want to see an English team win? I can’t think of a single occasion when I’ve wanted that to happen other than Saints.
