Queens Park Rangers have lambasted the English Football League over its announcement that the Championship season will restart in less than three weeks.
The announcement was made on Sunday night but QPR say that they received only 40 minutes notice and that they, along with a number of other clubs, are furious at the lack of consultation and communication. Clubs have not played a match since the middle of March and QPR believe that the proposed timescale is rushed and unrealistic.
“The players haven’t even returned to full-contact training at this moment and yet they are now expected to be in a position to play at a competitive level in just three weeks’ time,” said chief executive Lee Hoos.
