Getting to Forest 11:29 - Mar 14 with 1836 viewsASimonBarkerVolley

In town from overseas and have a ticket for Forest on Wednesday. Any recommendations for easiest way to get in and out of Nottingham from London? I see EMR has some good options going out, but last train back to London is at 21.40 meaning would need to miss any late action. Any other options?

Book a return cab from outside the ground, but you’ll be taking a chance that it arrives at the right place and with enough time to make your train. That could mean missing the last 20-25 minutes.Or ask around for anyone driving back to London. With the price of fuel these days people would happily car share if they could.

To make that train you're going to have to miss a big chunk of the second half, we're staying over.

You probably wont have to worry about missing much by then 😛

It's being so happy that keeps me going.

I usually drive. Come off the M1 at Junction 21a and head towards the A46. Great way to get in and out of Nottingham quickly.

Poll: Where will Clive put QPR in his new season preview

Fcked up good and proper once getting back from Nottingham. Again, an evening fixture, missed the last train to London and ended up getting on a local service, can’t remember where we caught a train back to town, arriving at daybreak!

Poll: Thank God The Seaons Over.

Is it reasonably priced to hire a small/ medium sized car and drive there & back?

The grass is always greener.

Just as an idea but there is a later London train from East Midlands Parkway. Recommend pre-booking a taxi from the West Bridgford side of the ground (for no later than 10pm) in advance if you do go for that.

Was going to make the effort and air bnb it. But seeing as it's on Sky, going to take the sensible option and save the dough for another weekend.
