interesting statement issued this morning on 12:31 - Apr 3 with 2746 views | Whiterockin | Just read it. Personally buying 500 tickets for the remaining home games and giving them away is a positive initiative, hopefully a step in the right direction. As individuals I would like them to invest heavily in the academy, this could reap benifits for the squad and possible value of players to sell. All without having any effect on PSR, it's an absolute no brainer as they have the money. Investment through the bank door and perfectly within the rules.

Yes I noticed that. I thought a few times Luke was saying some risky things when the team was winning. When the losses came thick and fast his words came back to bite him.

interesting statement issued this morning on 15:40 - Apr 3 with 2292 views | ReslovenSwan1 | Coleman turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. I suspect he was relieved of f his duties after the disappointment of the figures where he only shaved off £2m of the deficit. Not easy of course with the Watson signing seemingly generally low quality meaning there are no saleable assets over 19 years old. Sheehan might prove to be a good long term bet as the players look hungrier and sharper..

interesting statement issued this morning on 16:47 - Apr 3 with 2202 views | QJumpingJack | The statement from the new owners all but confirms the club has been poorly run over the last 8 years. I would say the only highlights in the last 8 years have been Potter Cooper Trevor Birch and the first year of Russell Martin. The new executive team needs experienced football league executives.

Russell Martin's first year saw us drop from playoff finalists to fifteenth despite having a team containing the likes of Cabango, Downes, Wolf, Piroe, Ntcham, Manning and Paterson. That's not really a highlight.

Is this SCFC buying the tickets and giving them away which in turn is effectively just giving away 500 free tickets? Or are the owners actually purchasing 500 tickets personally our of their own pockets which means they'll be adding more funds into the club which will help with P&S compliance?

They were chums once apparently, but are both, shall we say, "abrasive" personalities. Dimi's been banned off more Swans forums than basically anyone else that I'm aware of.

It is a club statement and the club are giving away effectively 500 seats for nothing. These seats would probably not have been sold anyway. It is a good gesture of goodwill. No idea of where the tickets will go. Perhaps a kids for a quid deal would have been better to interest youngsters to the club.

Your second paragraph 100%. EDIT With that in mind, we will personally be purchasing 500 tickets for all remaining home games which will be accessible for our local community and grassroots clubs. These tickets will be a gift from us to you. In addition, we know that many supporters will already have tickets for the remaining home games, so we will also be personally covering the cost of free coach travel to our upcoming away game on Easter Monday against QPR. We know that the cost of living crisis has had a significant impact on so many people, and we hope that these actions will have some positive impact to help thank you all for the support that you have shown us. I'm not sure. It's a club statement but signed off as Brett and Jason, so with a statement like .... "With that in mind, we will personally be purchasing 500 tickets for all remaining home games" I suspect it may be the latter. Nice gesture sure, and maybe a clever way of getting more money into the club legitimately to meet P&S.

Just a point about quid for a kid and schemes such as that, would the club have to pay for extra security in view of increased numbers and if so would the very low cost of a ticket be eaten up by such expenses,...just a question thats all.
