Daniel Bree Quarshie Slack or Wood Welly Fellows Jander Charles Azaz Scienza Stewart
| Stoke Game Match Day Thread on 11:18 - Jan 31 with 1354 views | HytheFerrytales | There's a smell of Agent/Player spin about this THB thing. We sell Edwards for a song and now we think of flogging (arguably) our best CB at a loss to a club we'll be playing next year anyway. All this in a January window, when our season is not quite dead yet and his contract runs to 2028. And don't tell me we have a ready made replacement in the shape of some kid on the YTS scheme at Hajduk Split. What am I missing here? | | | |

The fact that Adam Armstrong and Cameron Archer are neither in the team or on the bench

Mind you, if THB really is on 7.5k/week, then it's not hard to guess what he would prefer to do.

THB was signed for £20 million to play in the Premier League, he is not on &,5 k a week, nearer 75K , although probably around £50k

Thats our strongest lineup and i fancy us today to win 2-1. However what happens if Stewart pulls up after 10mins there is nothing on the bench

Indeed...it was meant tongue in cheek...no doubt you saw that recent BS report of the 7.5k

Yep...A striker in the incoming rumour mill remains conspicuous by its absence...As indeed do any incoming rumours for that matter. Don't panic Capt Mainwaring...it's only Jan 31st.

I’m going with a draw today, Stewart to score two for us but unfortunately our defense to also gift them two. All in all, not a bad result.

That’s the spirit Butty. I agree a win for us today. Dumping 2 strikers we can only hope that they have a goal machine waiting to play for us…… Stewart to score today 🙈

It seems folly not to have one of them at least on the bench, however as Butty says it is probably just about our strongest team and we do have options off the bench . Can Nick Oyekunle be the latest prodigy, according to the Echo he is likely to get 30 minutes of so as Stewart can't go much past the hour mark. If our youngster comes on and get the winner he will achieve legend status as big as Dom Ballard and no matchday thread will be complete without someone moaning that Nick Oyekunle isnt in the team.

Very lively game. Great defending from Captain Jack. He should of had a penalty. I wonder if Leo has let the hype goe to his head and hes trying to do to much. Had a couple great positios. And gooooooooooal

4 at the back. Azaz, Fellows, Sciensa, Stewart all in attacking positions is working. Far better than the 5 at the back. [Post edited 31 Jan 12:45]

Not so good at kicking though Pheewww. Bit of a flap in injury time but he has done well apart from those too moments, seems a bit too cocky when playing the ball out though

Usual issues including the referee failing to see at least 3 penalty calls, 2 in the same move, he was spoilt for choice, two nailed on penalties in one incident didnt see either

I would say that they were exceptionally poor rather than us being great. They didn't pressure our defence at all really.
