We've achieved phase one of getting to 'best of the rest' 7th place but with Millwall, Ipswich, Hull and Wrexhm all in form, making that step into the top 6 is going to require consistency and patience.
The beginning of April sees us play Ipswich at home then Wrexham away and we still need to be within striking distance by then.
Interesting Hull play Portsmouth on Saturday but then face their three play off colleagues in successive games.
I think we can get to 6th but one of the 4 immediately above us is going to need a dip while we don't have one.

It looks like we can realistically catch Wrexham and Hull, but no way we are catching Millwall, 9 points ahead, or Ipswich who are 7 ahead with 2 games in hand.
Hull are 7 points ahead of us, which seems like a mountain to climb, although as you say, they are playing some of the other playoff teams, so could lose a couple of games. Wrexham are the only team we have left to play, apart from Ipswich but have discounted them. So we can in theory beat Wrexham at their place to be one point behind. I think we can get 6th, but it will be very difficult. We need two wins, whilst Wrexham lose two, and then we play them away. All possible, but difficult. | |

History shows us that almost every season, one of the top 6 drop out on terrible form. It also shows us someone makes a late run on form. The latter could well be us. But the former means one of Ipswich, Millwall and Hull and Wrexham will go on a bad run of perhaps something like a point per game for 6 or 7 games. They will need to if we are to catch up, as to catch Ipswich Millwall or Hull we need to get almost a point per game more than them.
It can be done, but we have to make sure we have no more 'bad day at the office' games where we go back to almost Russ Ball play. We must learn that playing fast on the break and moving forward with pace and pressure is the best way. passing it around slowly does bugger all. |  | | |
