Are Joe Allen and Leon Britton still involved? I couldn't see them on the bench this evening.

The article does say at the end that they’re both still involved

Seems an odd one. Hard to imagine what he could contribute with five games to go, unless they've got plans to involve him next season too.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

He very much will be, the summer included.

Lots of coaches but still no certainty as to what his best XI is.

Both Allen and Britton were on the pitch during the pre match warm ups tonight and were sitting at the back of the west stand when the game was on as they have been for at least the last several matches.

Is there such a thing as a best starting eleven given the number of subs available to change games and the high number of games that our internationals player coupled with heavy fixture numbers at certain times of the season but the need for strength in depth.
It does seem to be a case of the best players to impact games at certain points of games but taking great care to keep players available to play, did we given Galbraith too much to do expecting him to deal with the rigours of defending against pacy wingers and then expecting him to control the ball in the midfield.
Does make you think if Parker had been picked or available the tenancies of Galbraith to quickly swap the play from right to left and Yalcouye one to swap it from left to right through the midfield would have sped up our play up the park? Don't expect Yalcouye to be here next season but maybe both Eom and Widell can help maintain that. Hopefully with Inoussa getting up to speed on the wings, Lissah return to help at the back and a couple of new acquisition to further strengthen the squad so we do not have to rely on just our strongest starting eleven.

I will add that there’s some succession planning discussions going on atm. This is all about that and a fit between Mangan and the Swans, hence the short agreement. But his position isn’t just as a form of coach.

Yes, with five subs the game is different. A good example is Watford away, after about an hour of ' frantic play ' from both sides, we brought on Galbraith and Nunes and started passing all around Watford and dominated the last half hour to win the game.

One door closes and another opens. All change in the club structure at least its being done well before the window opens.

Indeed but we can cancel Mangan out of any position like that. Far too risky.
