which players have you always had a soft spot for that seem to have been forgotten over time?

even though he was only here for a very short time i think alan mcloughlin was a class act.

alan johnson is a name that seems to have disappeared from alot of people's all time dale XI but remains firmly rooted in mine.

also during his first spell i think alan goodall was the best left back i have ever seen at the club.

Poll: Would you have Keith Hill back?

John Deary
Peter Costello (No Stevie Taylor, but did a job in his day and was sold to Peterboro)

Peter is now a manager of a bookies Crede in Spalding, Lincolnshire - nice lad and does not have a great deal of respect for Mr Sutton!!!!

BTW - He never wanted to leave but was forced out apparently

Every Team Needs A John Ryan - The Winger Who's a Ringer!!!!!
Poll: Which player would you rather have if Twitter rumour is correct (unlikely)

I reckon Greg Heald is worthy of a mention in here. Been trying to remember his name all day, but definitely did a job whilst here.

Good call Col, good player was Greg. Another good un, i thought of today, probably worth a mention is Micky Holmes.

Just don't let him near any penalties!

Was last heard of running a sandwich shop with his wife in the Leicestershire area.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Anyone remember Paul Weller? I thought he was class, not sure why we didn't keep him for longer.

Gavin Melaugh, while maybe not being the most skillful, was full of effort in a poor dale team.

Ged Brannan anyone?!
