I remember when 19 of us were on one of our eraly days "Jolly Boys" holidays in Teneriefe 1989.
We convinced loads of Northern lasses we were the QPR U21 reserve squad on a team bonding session.
But then one young lady also believed that one of our lot worked at Woburn Safari park as the Crocodile Dentist.
Anyway......
Great article and a couple of us were only talking at the game last week about "cult status" around W12.
Some really random one's for me like Andy Tillson and Ben Aziz in the centre back positions..... more obvious one's like Mark Dennis and Devon White.

Too true!!
When asked the correct response was "it's one to consider but at the moment our focus remains on the big issues like the economy and our national security...blah, blah, blah".
Instead more populist bollox.
I'm against it for all the reasons listed even though I'd love to sit there supping on a decent pint.
I just don't want to get drenched in cheap lager and poor Guinness on the rare occasions Kone larrups one into the net.
I'm bad enough up and down to the khazi myself - nobody wants to add in people with flimsy pint glasses going backwards and forwards.
I'll have a good few before, one at HT, a good few after -- the two halves of football are a good rest break.
Maybe a campaign is needed against this? How about a slogan like: "Stop the Beers - Smash the fans" |

So many “principles” that he made the (very rare back then) move from Leeds to Manchester - hated rivals.
I seem to recall the move was all about Leslie Ash and piles of cash
No issue with Ratcliffe myself

I always thought the FA Cup rule was 25% of your capacity where safety allows
That’s why I thought last January allocation was a bit skinny but understandable due to stand layout.
For that game a lot of home fans had to move - would not happen in a League game
I decided a while back not to attend and a bit gutted now.
It was shite last time but great meet up pre match still.
I’m now committed to Sis in Law visit same day so will be watching at home in awe as Adamson owns Bowen, Kamara bosses the midfield and Kone sips around the pitch two stone lighter than August |

Walk the High Line - free and bloody brilliant
If you're shopping - Woodbury Common well worth it for the day and then plan some eats out on your return.
Free ferry to Ellis Island gives the best views of downtown
Did the river cruise once round bit's of the Hudson, was okay but I preferred the late night bus tour which pitched up somewhere and had incredible views of the city all lit up.
The bus tours are great and not a bad way of seeing a bit of Harlem... some of which pretty raw.
Last visit we took in a show - Jersey Boys. Was good but no better than up London and was proper expensive.
Got to be the easiest city in the world to walk around - involves a lot of looking up though!
Eat Out's I loved:-
Sparks Steak House - bit of history with the shooting outside. The most amazing food I've ever had but not cheap and needs a booking.
Bobby Van's - going to Grand Central Terminal one. Absolutely fantastic.
Smollensky's - class.
Waldorf Astoria - if I could go anywhere in the world for a cheescake again it would be here.
Frankie & Johnnies - couple of these, can't recall one we went to but was upstairs and brilliant food at great prices.
Grand Central Station - some great spots in there for eating and people watching
Bars / Drinking - we made it our mission to hit as many high level / rooftop bars as we could.
There's loads of them but the one's I remember are Monarch Bar, 230Fifth, Bar 65 at Rockafella, Cloud in a hotel off of Times Square and one called The Strand IIRC
(There was one we went to that I was proper looking forward to and you had to pay to get there plus pricey drinks; went we got there the tourist viewing bar basically looked at the brand new building opposite it with only a sliver of the Hudson. Might be worth checking current views out!
CAVEAT!!! It's been 8 to 9 years since I last went, the Freedom Tower was opening the week after we got home... gutted! A lot of the above may have changed.
I think I've been there about half a dozen times and loved it every visit - ENJOY |

I hear you - hear you loud and clear.
I'd hope some planners at the club are sitting there saying "all good, nice and positive....BUT! We are now SIX points behind our target for this moment in the calendar"
We now have to win a couple of games those planners would not have had us down as winning.
The good news is I don't see us going on one of our favourite runs of six defeats in a row so reasons to be cheerful for the next block of games.
Those six points would have us top I think? Doesn't matter one way or the other as it would be a totally false position due to those fixtures and the small sample of games played. After we've rattled through 12 matches let's see where we are at and where others are.
There's always outliers - for Leicester see Burnley etc, etc, etc.
Who knows - we might be one at the right end for a change.
Out of all the stats it's the goal conversion one that should concern everyone.
We've already had a game with tem on target and a big fat NIL goals to show for it.
Thirty blaady three shots on Saturday resulted in two goals but still only ONE point.
Just another 14 wins and a draw and we'll be all good..........  |

In ground a half drunk me said red card soon as it happened
Subsequently seeing the footage it’s a bit debatable but I still think it’s a red
I’m still not feeling Cirkin but that’s for another time.
Have to say absolute props to Adamson. He’s doing himself all sorts of favours when coming in on either flank. I do fear for him if needed at LB next match ….. still me fella called Bowen isn’t it??? |

It’s why I can’t get away from the six points we’ve left on the table from the Bolton, Charlton and PNE games.
To make up for those we really need to be beating a couple of teams you wouldn’t expect us to; be nice to start that with West Ham then |

I don't care if the fella is getting a hatrick and four assists every game.
He was and is patently unsuited to the EFL Championship and up there with the biggest wastes of money this club has laid out.
He compounded that by hiding.
Then compounded it further when in Germany and being a reported a-hole
Well shot of him.
Maybe these stats say more about the standard of the Swiss game than his ability? |

First time I've seen that and I have to say:
1. Impressively candid answer from Nourry there (on face value) and I found myself saying "fair do's"
2. Quite enjoyed the passionate response from the Frenchman there and I found it quite motivating even as a mug punter. I've noted the squad seems to have a great spirit so far this season - that counts for a lot - so a big fair play there as well.
My only reservation is that this starts to become an even bigger saga now.
A line needs to be drawn under it.
Rayan has ability and is living every fans dream, all this has in effect made it harder for him but if he can get himself in the picture and back in the squad and scoring goals on the pitch then huge kudos to him. |
