Ironic that that a draw keeps us up.
Should have do enough to keep a clean sheet.
Nothing to be grateful for finishing 90 th in the league.
But without Cowley intervention would have relegated before today.

Onwards and upwards U’s , has if no progression next season the trapdoor will definitely be open for us yet again .

Pre match thoughts .

Someone to make a name for themselves or a collective boring draw.
Plenty of training this week, finding a penalty taking competitions and goalies practicing winning headers from corners !

What's all the fuss about?
at 15:32 26 Apr 2024

Pressure, Australian cricketer Keith Miller said that’s having a Messerschmitt 109 up your arse.

The Normandy Veterans interviewed on TV by school kids today said, it was all about not letting your mates down has they were all in it together.

So dropping down another football tier, should be avoided if at all possible, has other life time events it is pretty much inconsequential in the scheme of things.

We pretty much earned it if we fall through the trapdoor has finishing 89 th.

Remember sitting on the Spion kop end at Layer Road, after the Burnley game in 1990, let’s not have another Groundhog Day event if it is 34 years apart.- PLEASE .

Should be all over.
The Creepies had a goal disallowed for offside after the equaliser. We wondered at live time the results media had a 2-3 scoresheet .
Let’s not let the Mingers have the satisfaction of doing us a favour .

Which League Two clubs have impressed you this season?

The best Wimbledon and Stockport both likely to score and not concede.
Will turn this around, and the worst teams in the division. The U’s by a country mile, several times .

Much said has been continually been repeated by different personal over the last few seasons regardless of slides and PowerPoint presentations.
Much venting by the Cowley’s getting everyone onside, but the buck does stop with results on pitch.
However do agree though, it’s the last chance saloon, if these guys cannot change the mentality within, ( think progress has been made on the pitch ) cannot think of many other options progress.

Sadly the incompetent FA are terrified of upsetting the top PL sides, who pull all the strings in getting their own way.

Mariners gutted by Super U's at the JCS
at 09:05 17 Apr 2024

Think the last month has shown there is not much difference between top and say fourth from bottom. The vital ingredient creating chances and putting the ball in the net consistently.
Next few games are vital in finishing strongly which psychologically can put us on the front foot for the future.

The much awaited back to back wins well timed at the business end of the season. Played with confidence and aplomb up until we scored and then went off the boil. Had to battle second half until Big John gives us the breathing space needed .
Two nil win, both strikers to their credit on the score sheet and a blank at the other end, ( the two goals given us another big advantage.).
Now need an unbeaten run into the end of the season, to set us up for the next .

Pay the Penalty.
at 13:15 16 Apr 2024

Let’s hope the U’s do not pay the penalty of another miss from the spot . Incredible scenes at Stamford Bridge last night, of players squabbling over the taking of a penalty.
Wonder if the U’s players will be so keen considering are recent record from the penalty spot ?
