Yes , I think maybe Matos has thought ... Why get bogged down in the mire of no mans land that is midfield ... get straight to the opposition trenches and cause havoc. With regards to WBA they made changes at halftime that certainly got them more on the front foot , They scored within 5 mins. of the restart . We seemed to be still in the changing rooms slow and lethargic and paid the price. We certainly ship a lot of goals just before and just after halftime ... that has to be addressed . Whether it is complacency or whatever I don't know . Albion were out early at halftime on the pitch and waiting for us , Mason had obviously given them both barrels in his teamtalk . We can't let that happen again.
I think they will sit in a low block and aim to hit us on the break via Placheta or some other speedster. We have to defend our box like the Alamo , Craig Short the new man i/c is no mug and has been round the block in football terms. If we can't win it we certainly must not lose it.
Listening to Paul Merson talking about Arsenal playing Declan Rice at full back. He said that playing a player of his calibre there was wasting him because you have to win the midfield battle to win football games and he has far more influence in mid field than at full back.
Kitching the Cov player kicked the ball away deliberately delaying a free kick. Wasn't even booked . Same thing happened earlier in the day at St Andrews the Derby player was immediately shown a yellow card. Later on in that game that same Derby player committed a foul and was then sent off for a second yellow . That ultimately cost Derby the 3 points because they then had to play the vast majority of the game with 10 men - Brum later equalising .
