Bloody hell he was good. Strode through our midfield multiple times, controls the ball well. Made their team click. They've found a gem there. Him and Eze playing for England would be one exciting midfield.

Personally did think his insanely high foot could have been a red card though. Everyone seemed to brush that off, but if he connected with our player that is one of the most dangerous tackle in a long time. Was I the only one that thought that?

Agreed. Stylish. Like Carlton Palmer crossed with a football player. Also agree about the high foot challenge.

ps: Just checked his creds. Born in Southwark. On loan from Liverpool. Bah humbug!

Apparently he is available and the fakes have first option, fee agreed? Him and Swift are very good players.

Eze replacement in the Summer?

Considering the noise around him & his performance last night I was surprised to read he’s only got 2 goals and 1 assist this season. I wonder if he’s one of these players that float around in games doing nice flicks etc without actually impacting games too often & lacking end product.

I thought that for the brief period we matched them up in midfield that he shrank out of it, so you could be right.

Regarding his goal tally - that may be the case - but last night he ran their midfield and we hardly got near him. Looked a class apart. Far too good to settle for a club like Reading - if indeed Liverpool decide to put him on the market.

Best player on the pitch.

Agree completely, but he faded out of it for a period when we matched up in midfield.

I watched a live game on Sky earlier this season -- it was the must not miss edge of the seat offering at 11:45am on Sunday morning and it was Reading v Cardiv.

This fella was brilliant, great close control and the Taffs were tied up in knots.
But the fella who really caught the eye that day was Puskas - he looked very Adel T to me from what I saw on the box but only showed that in brief flashes last night.

The Championship breeds inconsistency from top to bottom - the squads that can be consistent and grind with a sprinkling of skill always do well.
We are consistent but only in conceding sloppy goals!
It's why I think we'll fall short this season but anything 12th and above should count as a GREAT season for us.

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Looked quality....dare I say it in a better more attacking team (yes, like ours), he might have a few more goals too!

Was on loan at Glasgow Rangers last season and although had patches of good play he was very much a peripheral player and didn't do enough for me.
Agree though that he was very good other night and possibly having extra responsibility is helping him.
Certainly wouldn't have chosen him as an Eze replacement having watched him in Scotland

Just watched the 90' back and yes foot was high on Eze but no contact - fk for playing in a dangerous manner was correct.

He's only 21. I would love to see him playing for us but I'm sure there's quite a few big clubs watching him and his own club will be pleased on his progress.

Ejaria will be an outstanding player......but still not as good as Eze. The way this boy drifts past defenders is almost ethereal. Not seen anything like it in years.

Hmmm. Love Eze - but on that evidence Ejaria is another level up. He’s was just a class apart for most of the game

Maybe not apparent to those at the game, but those, like myself who watched on TV, he has a brilliant death stare.

Drilled a couple of holes in the referee when decisions didn't go the way he wanted.

Yes don't think he's going to be moving to a team at this level tbh.
Ryan Christie at Celtic is a much better player, albeit he is 24 now. Seems to be typical Scottish player being physically capable 3-4 yrs later than most although he always had the ability

Agree he had a better game and more influence on the outcome than Eze, but I personally see Eze developing onto another level.

Clearly both have huge potential, but I find Eze’s fluidity and composure compelling to watch.
Will observe the progression of both with interest and no little joy.

Agreed. Wouldn't like to predict who will be the better player but I get the impression that was one of Ejarias good games.

He did come across as a definite ringer. Slightly unfair.

Only me that thinks so apparently, but i'll always hate these loans. Just a way for the 'big' clubs to have their cake and eat it and have our cake in case they're still hungry. Simply shouldn't be allowed.

I think we’re missing the obvious here: plays ok and then he lines up against the Rangers and he puts in a Messiesque performance. Next game not against the Rangers, and Big Dave at the back for the Dog and Duck, makes him look bang average!!
