Whoever takes over the manager's job from here has a tough job on their hands. The board need to have a long hard look at themselves. I have never known the club to sanction as many two-year deals as we did during the summer. The players we are stuck with now for the next two years are not good enough.
It feel as though the board's inexperience has shown over the last couple of years. I hope they get the next appointment right, otherwise we are in big trouble. |  | | |  |

I've just never known previous boards to be so happy to sign off two-year deals. Obviously, excluding the previous fraudsters.

Absolutely bonkers to sack Stockdake on the eve of such a tough game.
Highly likely we were going to lose, but at least the team would have been set up better than it was today.
What a waste of a fixture, it's just getting more and more bizarre by the day .
Now we await the arrival of a new manager, we might get new manager bounce, but I fear it will take a new boss a month at least to make his mark, we will be well behind the field if this is the case | | | |

If anyone heard Simon Gauge on Radio Bolton earlier he mentioned that they had a preferred candidate and we’re in discussions. Imagine it’s Graham Alexander as came out of no where to be top of the bookies lists.

If you still think we would have lost, what difference would it have made if the team was "set up better?"
You seem worried that we are going to be wasting time waiting a month for a new manager to make their mark but you also seem to think sacking Stockdale as early as we did was a mistake? How does that work? Surely the earlier that was achieved the sooner the new man can make their mark.
