Thanks for promoting this debate. The conjecture is interesting, but in all honesty it all depends on how many contracted players do what what Rathbone and Humphrys did last year and say they don’t want to be here.
My bet is O’Donnell (without a doubt league standard, Mullarkey (same applies); John and Ball and Campbell are out in the cold and I can see them wanting to go.
I think EEL still believes he is league level. Taylor is interesting, think he would be good for us in the National but will his agent be in his ear, saying he can do better? Trouble is CH’s in the worst team in the league don’t have much cache.
So that could leave us with just Dave and Sinclair. So plenty of scope for a new manager to put his stamp on things.
New deals for both Hendo and Odoh would be a yes from me. |
Taylor's agent may well be in his ear saying he can do better but I'd be surprised if any managers in League Two agree with him. |  |

I suppose its partly down to the fact he's not very good & has shown petulance on the pitch a few times.
If we were mid-table or doing well I don't think he would have come under as much stick personally but I very much doubt he will look back on his time here with much fondness.
I think some of the stick he has had on the socials has been a bit strong, but as a collective this group is awful & he is one of a number who will never return to the Football League. | | | |

I can see 11 of the 13 contracted players potentially being here next season (we may get offers for O'Donnell, Mullarkey and Rodney), but I think Campbell may be offloaded and Brierley will be sold. I can see John either getting contract cancelled or made available on a free.
Of those out of contract, I can see Lloyd getting a offer, but he will get better offers. I can also see Graham, Keohane and Kelly getting new contract offers, Keohane because he is seen as a utility player.

I’m a bit surprised by Kelly being offered something, and to a lesser extent Keohane, but as they will be lower than what they’re on now I’d imagine they will be looking elsewhere. I wish I had!
We can all potentially identify the three placed on the transfer list (Ball, Campbell & John), I still think we will gets bid for some of the players (Brierley, O'Donnell, Mullarkey & Rodney), but if we only lose Brierley & Mullarkey, plus those on the transfer list, I will be happy. Hopefully we can hold on Lloyd and if possible Graham & Kelly, I also think Keohane will sign. In respect to Lloyd & Keohane, I think their ages will be a factor, hopefully the offers are sensible enough for them to sign, rather then insulting.
