I agree and actually enjoy watching our Pragmatic style of playing. Trying to play with too many fancy 10's and playing out from the back makes me a nervous wreck.
We are not Man City or Barcelona and the Championship is not a place to play Dutch style "Sexy" football with inferior players

I'd be fine with that and still think it's OK to watch.
But the manager wants to play a more expansive attacking style - fine in theory but we don't have the personnel to do it effectively, which means we don't win many games (if any). This unfortunately will be his downfall, and why if a better offer comes along from a club with a better squad, he'll be off.
We opted for that way against Leeds, I thought it would leave us far too open, but for the most part it worked as Edwards and Colback combined well as the midfield two. Andersen did well starting, and we had Smyth's pace and directness. BUT, we still didn't win! |  |
