Didn’t he die on the same day rangers were playing in the London standard five-a-sides at Wembley arena? I was there and have vague memories of seeing the headline on one of those stands where some guy was selling the standard.

Yes he did.
Seems amazing that we were playing in this and then the FA Cup semi final was three days later! Unthinkable now.
A shame they posted a photo of Dave Clements (N Ireland) at the end! But an interesting and emotional piece otherwise. The best RB I've seen at HQ (yes, even better than Bardsley!) If he'd played for a 'bigger' club - would have got 50 caps not 5.
Billy Bingham as Everton manager , labelled us a dirty side . Norn Iron were hardly shrinking violets under his tutelage. Lovely piece . A brilliant full back .
Not only the best right back to play for qpr but one of the best English right backs ever. An absolutely magnificent player, ridiculously talented and totally committed. As a defender does not get the praise of Stan,Terry etc but easily there equal, a true great!
The best right back we have ever had. I remember watching the emotional game after Marsh's transfer and Clement scored the winner with a cracking shot. He was as important as Bowles Givens and Francis and should have played more games for England. He was also much better than Gillard as the opposite full back, as Gillard had no pace and his right leg was simply for standing on.
