| Southampton V Charlton Athletic The Verdict on 10:16 - Feb 22 with 1027 views | shotters | Two points I'd like to make The Bragg substitution was to take Downes off as he was a walking red card imo, it ws straight after the melee and him getting a yellow. Leaburn was gobbing off to him in the handbags so I thought it was a sensible thing to do Harsh to blame Peretz for the goal, it was a low shot that skidded off the wet pitch. I'm more disappointed that we defended poorly in the build up. You could see a goal coming, Stephens was lucky his poor back header wasn't punished a few minutes earlier when Dykes scored from an offside position | |

| Southampton V Charlton Athletic The Verdict on 11:21 - Feb 22 with 943 views | Bridders2 | Scienza had to come off as he'd just sustained a heavy head injury and was on the ground for about 5 minutes, but agree another striker might have got us over the line. Shame we didn't loan another large forward. | | | |

It wasn't offside for Dykes. The goal was disallowed because he controlled the ball with his arm before slotting it home ( but it was a clinical finish)

Ok, I stand corrected, I saw the lino put his flag up an assumed it was for offside Lyndon Dykes and clinical finish are not words that you see in a sentence often! but you’re right he tucked it away well

100% this Everyone backed off and no one put a challenge in from their left side all the way across to the shot Very poor defending I think Perez should have got a stronger hand too it as well
| Southampton V Charlton Athletic The Verdict on 21:46 - Feb 22 with 412 views | Southamptonfan | The Charlton game is what it is. Jones admitted how much he told his players about how important this game was to him. Charlton defenders defended like their lives depended on it. It was tough, but the players gave their all, I felt and that certainly wasn't the case in some other games. We arn't losing games at home now. Let's not forget that yesterday won't be what stops us getting in the play-offs, if that's the case. Boro only drew at home to Oxford. Charlton beat Ipswich 3 nil at Ipswich. These results happen in the Championship. What has made things difficult is the terrible start we had under the dreadful "leadership" of Will Still. I read somewhere that had Tonda had been charge since the beginning of the season, with the points per game total he has, we would be third. We are heading in the right direction, but we got so far behind, that we have a major mountain to climb. Big, big game actually on Tuesday. We have to win it. If we lose and Wrexham and win again, plus a few of the others pick up points, the play-offs will be gone. But blame that terrible start we had to the season, and the Christmas period. | |
