More important to win one after Wrexham upped the ante by winning last night

I will be amazed if we get anything out of this game. Saints looked tired and jaded against WBA and we have a couple of important injuries. Even the fans looked tired the other night.
The FA Cup against Arsenal is very much on our minds.
I like the Championship we actually win more than we lose 😀

Wrexham beating Swansea and us losing to Coventry were/are extremely likely events and need to be parked.

Next up in our needs is a match day where Wrexham lose and we win...very feasible.

Then the ultimate in 6 pointers will loom large...there's the season right there.

Having watched the home game against them and seeing the Coventry lineup today, it's probably our hardest league game of the season. They have better players than ours in nearly every position (from our team today, only Harwood-Bellis would be good enough to possibly get in their team) and we only managed to draw against them at St Mary's because they had a player sent off.

With all the goal scorers Coventry have, you'd expect them to score at least 2 goals, so if we manage to avoid defeat today it will be quite an achievement.

Ross Stewart crocked again?

He has to be let go in the summer. No Sciensa, no Stewart. The injuries and suspensions starting to kick in.

Not sure that’s the best line up against top of the table

Why doesn't this happen to Coventry? They have 15 of the strongest and best players in the Championship who always seem to be fit. They have better attacking players on their subs bench than we have in our starting lineup. It's almost like they thought about these things when they did their recruitment.

We can only hope that Eckert performs some sort of magic today against what appears to be a much stronger team.

Stating the obvious but this was always going to be the toughest game of the season
With Scienza and Stewart out injured I’d be absolutely delighted with a point
Hopeful but not confident we’ll get one though

Fail we may, sail we must

They’ve been building up to this for 2 or 3 years
Foundations were laid by Robins and his coach Viveash and then carried on by Lampard
Considering the mess we were in this summer it’s not really surprising that their squad is more settled and balanced imo

Fail we may, sail we must

But probably the best with what's available
I was hoping the 2 crocks might at least have been on the bench
Concentrate on the cup now!

Our squad really doesn't look good enough to beat Coventry. We were even talking about being relegated earlier in the season. Top 8 yes, but top 2, nowhere near good enough.

Anything other than a defeat today would be very much against the odds.

Coventry 4/5
Saints 3/1
Draw 14/5

I haven’t really heard of any of the Coventry team. I don’t think they are better than us. Our form over the tonder period is as good. I fancy a draw today
