Well I'll kick it off. Reckon Lehman's appointment was a masterstroke - it will be much closer as a result of his appointment.

Who's going and when?

Yes, we should get an hour at them.

Broad will be fired up after that exchange with Pattison.

We can skittle these cnts cheaply.

Hope so. They certainly have for us. Like watching the old England. Got worried when people started slating the Aussies and saying 5-0. Should have just shut up and done the biz on the pitch.

Watson is a dangerous opener

Hughes will be gone early doors.

But Clarke is the key. If we don't get him early then we could be in for two long days.

2:59 baby!

Now it's time to have a right good go at them, get a few wickets this evening & swing the momentum back in our favour.

Doesn't matter how unthreatening he is when our batmens are so adept at giving their wickets away under minimal pressure!

I said before today that our guys seemed very complacent and yet again they've put in a shocking display in the first innings!

Let's hope the bowlers can prevent the Aussies building up a big lead.

I was flabbergasted to hear people talking about 10-0. 10-0? 10-0?!! I can only assume that people like that don't watch cricket and don't know what Australia is.

England will never be anything other than likely to collapse cheaply at the first sign of pressure. This has never changed in my lifetime and i doubt it ever will.

We now have a quality bowling attack and a couple of good batsman, i'm still hoping our bowlers will come good by the end, we're a far better side than they are, but 10-0? Nothing yesterday was surprising to me :-(

That's why we won the last two series and why we'll smash them in this one too.

I certainly hope so. Not saying we've lost it on day one, i know we've being going well for a while now, obviously.

Let's just say i'm a bigger fan of our bowlers than i am of our batsmen. It's all very well being bullish and saying "we've smashed them before, we'll smash them again", but to me, if we're guilty of complacency like that, we could be in danger.

If i look back over my life, it comes as no surprise to see us go from 180 for 4 or whatever to all out for 215. And to assume we'll steamroller Australia 10-0 just because we've got the better players would seem, to me, to be ignoring the lessons of history. Which is that the English batting can always collapse at any time and it's probably tempting fate to dismiss the Aussies before we even start.

Let's just hope our quality bowling attack rescues us like they usually do.

Oh no argument there. The bowlers really are very good indeed - probably the best around when it really matters.

We look undercooked on the batting front, but there's plenty of action in the next few months and I reckon they'll be OK.
