Maybe that’s because of his behaviour, we’ve got the unfounded claims of election rigging, fraud whatever you want to call it, a riot in the cradle of their democracy plus a whole host of alleged misconduct including fraud. The Americans operate a Grand Jury system, which in effect means a group of 23 members of the public are presented with information and they then make a decision as to whether the case should go to trial. On this occasion, the decision is that there is case to answer.
In terms of Biden, Project Veritas are completely unreliable - that said, I’d hold him to the same standards as Trump and any other citizen. No one should have preferential treatment or be be victimised by the system. [Post edited 2 Aug 2023 17:52]

I agree with your points - it is better than the politicised US judiciary. Money most certainly makes a difference to your chances in Court and it’s also extremely difficult for working people to access Legal Aid, especially for Crown Court cases.
An independent judiciary is a cornerstone of democracy. Our current government have sought to reduce the ability of the judiciary to oversee aspects of government workings by restricting the right to judicial review and limiting the power of the Supreme Court - no one should be above the law including government and their attempts to curb the right of people to scrutinise decision making must be challenged. | | | |
