Would we have been better off going down last season? 06:26 - Oct 25 with 2741 views | SydneyRs | It does seem inevitable that we are going down, so surviving last year has just rewarded us with an even less enjoyable season completely hamstrung by FFP. If we'd been relegated we would have the more relaxed rules in the league below and maybe could have looked towards rebuilding. Seems were going that way anyhow and this is just a wasted season now. Has surviving last season just prolonged the misery?
Would we have been better off going down last season? on 06:41 - Oct 25 with 2684 views | ozexile | I get what you're saying but I genuinely believe this squad could survive in the Championship if it was coached properly. 4-2-3-1. I'd sacrifice some width going forward and just make us tough to get past in the middle. Colback and field winning it and giving it Chair/ Smyth/ Willock and Dykes and telling them to create something. Anything is better than last night. Anything.

Would we have been better off going down last season? on 07:24 - Oct 25 with 2534 views | bongo_king | Time will tell but on balance probably no. There is a tested model for getting back to the champ from L1 and staying up. Progressive manager, young team built over a few seasons while debt can be written off to equity by owners. See Ipswich, Sunderland. If we'd gone down last season, we'd be creating Gareth Ainsworth FC in L1 (we know what that looks like, basically opposite of the tested model). Even if we managed to get out of L1 with that, we'd unlikely stay in the champ with an ugly, old team (early days but see Sheff W this season). Hoping that, if we ultimately go down this season, even our incompetent board realise this blaringly obvious model exists for owners who are willing to write off debt to equity (not all are, which is arguably why not every team does it... ours have signalled they are but proof in the pudding) and set us in that direction.
Would we have been better off going down last season? on 08:04 - Oct 25 with 2459 views | traininvain | It certainly would’ve been interesting to hear how Ainsworth would’ve made out that we’re the underdog playing against the likes of Cheltenham and Carlisle.
Would we have been better off going down last season? on 08:27 - Oct 25 with 2416 views | DejR_vu | There were plenty thinking relegation from the Prem was a good thing, look how that’s worked out. We’re only going one way with these owners.

Would we have been better off going down last season? on 08:38 - Oct 25 with 2384 views | TheChef | It's never better to get relegated. And why is it inevitable we're going down? It's October. We still have 34 games to play!!
