Can’t remember now and someone will correct me but doesn’t a red card challenge like that have to have used “reckless” or “excessive” force? Yeah he catches him high but I think it’s incredibly soft and what was/wasn’t a free kick or card seemed to vary wildly throughout.

I was level with it and I thought he got the ball and wasn't even a foul and was shocked when he gave a free kick, but after reading all the comments, must have been myself requiring specsavers..
Shame, if as that's three match ban in three winnable games.
Stoke, Oxford and Cardiff.
Thought Anderson has been OK last couple of games and will give Dembele a chance to start.
The key thing currently is like with Cook, also pulling up, we have Dembele and Morrison to fill in. Squad depth this season has been the reason for less troubles with "going down" vibes.
It's going to be a season of consolidation and hopefully with careful defensive signings, we can push on next season.

Whilst squad depth and recent injuries have been a factor, I would suggest that selection and change of system have been the bigger issue in the recent run of lost games.
Yang be Smyth for example.
From 4:3:3 to 4:2:3:1 - again.
More direct to piss-balling around in defence
Throw in a lack of effort (contrasted with today) and lack of opportunities/more clinical

From my view in the loft it looked harsh, but having now seen it from the other angle its 100% a red I’m afraid. |  |
