Reading v Swansea City : Sky Bet Championship 21/22 MATCHDAY THREAD 09:59 - Apr 16 with 18874 viewsNotLoyal

The Reading isn’t a library, it isn’t even a bookshop, they are on form, Swansea could be, what will we learn ? Are Swansea still tired ? Are you ? Is it the same but faster or then slower ?

This game is not on the red button of SKY 🔴

The officials
KEVIN FRIEND
Scott Ledger and Matthew Wilkes
Fourth Official : Declan Bourne

Having had a dose of the Andy Woolmer’s on Friday, it’s the friendly Kevin’s for this game.

Reading fans are hard as flex. They blocked a bus once. All of them.

Reading fans voted ‘on the buses’ their favourite sit com of the ever times.

A draw ?

Show me the evidence that without Piroe, wed have been worse off this season ?
If you can I’ll make a £100 donation to a charity of your choice.

It’s not just his 22 goals though is it (and how many of those did he conjure up from nothing). It’s his assists and his all round play. We talk of the likes of Rangel who cost next to nothing and turned out to be incredible- you’d have to put Piroe in that bracket and he’s only been here one season (so far).

I don’t disagree with what you say. Swansea especially In the last 15 years have pulled off some remarkable signings. Piroe being the latest.

I’d imagine at least 20 remarkable signings. Way too many to remember all. Bodde, Scotland, Rangel, Williams, Michu, Bony, Vorm and many more.

Exactly, and that’s part of my point. Piroe is excellent for us, the result of someone at the club making good decisions.

Did I say that you just attacked him?
Was I responding to your comment?

Have you ever considered even for one second that continual attacks on the person of posters are an even bigger turn off than a negative attitude towards the way we play and how our manager is perceived?

Please do not insult my intelligence by saying you haven't done so in the recent past.

A lot has happened in the recent past on here which Keith has asked us all to move on from.
Yes I agree personal attacks have not helped the forum.
My ( generally ) positive views on Martin and the team, like his negative views on Martin on the team do not affect the forum.
He won't change his views, I for the most part won't change mine.
Therefore we remain polarised

It is almost impossible to change human nature.
So agreement to disagree is the order of the day.
However I agree we should be positive when it is warranted, like the first half today.
But not positivity for it's own sake, that is just kidding ourselves.

Yes but this was a risk as he’d not really done much before to indicate the impact he’s made since arriving. In fact I’d say he’s surprised everyone bar himself. We’ve taken far less risks and they haven’t come good.

You are correct about human nature and as you say best if I and he agree to disagree on those certain points.

Piroe's career has gone stratospheric the moment he and Martin had the unsatisfactory first meeting. It was the moment Piroe went from teenage prodigy scouted by Juventus to flat disappointment for two seasons to what Martin might call a "proper" player.

I suspect Piroe being a cool relaxed sort of fellow ambled into the club and did not show its people the "proper" respect.

I am reminded of Bob Bradley's first day shown on the website. Bob walked into the players mess, unannounced perhaps, and three players were loafing about in one corner with phones of course. Bob approached them smiles and offers a hand shake. He got three derisory hand shakes all while sitting down and all back to the phones. He turned around and there was Angel Rangel standing to attention and eye to eye greeting him and wishing him good luck.

I did not like the body language of young Burns getting his shirt from Club legend Alan Curtis. He could have not looked any less disinterested. Perhaps I read too much into it. Perhaps it was the awkwardness of youth.

Your argument is built on sand.
It’s your opinion simple as that. No where in your argument is there any fact. You maybe correct, you maybe wrong. No facts. Just your opinion.

Let me help you

Piroe is a member of our squad: Fact
We might have signed someone else : Opinion
Piroe has scored 20 league goals: Fact
This someone else might have scored 20 goals: Opinion
Without some of Piroes 20 goal we would be in a worse position: Fact

Now tell me whose argument is based on sand

What about the player, (was it Wolf?) who shook Curt’s hand and left Curt holding the framed shirt, before remembering to take it back off him.
I thought the whole first shirt episode was cringe worthy at best, as most of them didn’t look particularly interested anyways.

Mmmm!
One of the reasons that Cooper decided he wanted too walk(but wanted a bit of payment also) was because the club signed Piroe and Joseph.

I dont get all this talk of Cooper walking yet being paid off.

How many people resign then continue to be paid by their employer?

There was a lot of talk that Prioe was a Cooper/Scott target so why would he be unhappy?

SO mnay myths....do you actually really know what happened?

We are all speculating......MY thoughts Cooper was unhappy at the club pricing hom out of moves to Palace/Fulham.....Is it a coincidence that Geuhi and Gallacher ended up there?

I think Cooper went for constructive dismissal and that is why he was continued to be paid etc....Again only my opinion but I dont see how if someone "walks"/resigns they are continued to be paid and are happy to help out thir employer as did Cooper during preseason.

But what ever Piroe was not a Martin/Allen accquissiotn
