| Reading v Swansea City : Sky Bet Championship 21/22 MATCHDAY THREAD on 16:57 - Apr 18 by A_Fans_Dad | That is what you get for poncing about in the corners instead of going for goal. Pathetic. |
Not usually it’s not but the upper body strength of our places is sadly woeful! They get shoved off far too easily. We had something to play for today. At one stage if we won our game in hand and beat Mboro we could have been a point off the POs. Instead of that we play stupid balls under pressure, don’t clear our lines, make the wrong choices in passing, under hit the ball, over hit the ball and generally out wit ourselves. That was taken as an end of season dead rubber which it really wasn’t. Martin has to take some flak for this because our strategy when winning has to be different to suicide ball.

Benda is a far superior keeper. Put him on an intensive training course in the summer to teach him how to pass five yards like fisher does and we might get somewhere.

Yep. Same as Barnsley where all they thought they had to do was turn up to win. That’s four points thrown away.

Couldn't disagree with that, defensively that was shocking. Can go on and blame certain things but those players need a right pulling up on that. Out muscled for sure in the 2nd half.

We simply need to find Fisher a job ,cleaning the latrines would suit him better because a goalkeeper he is not. Still,he is selected which indicates just how bad Hamer is …to the coach. I feel truly gutted for Ben Hamer

Nope, the closest we could have been was 4pts off the p/offs. We were never gonna make it, realistically.

He would have dealt with those long crosses far better - probably would have caught them both

Only saw the 2nd half. Great goal from Obafemi but after that absolute schoolboy defending to give up a 1-4 lead. There has to be a limit to passing in your own penalty area when under pressure. No brain football.

Hardly "Same as Barnsley where all they thought they had to do was turn up to win " We scored four goals and did do the job up front. Defensively we let ourselves down, although have to give credit to Reading who never stop going. Agree 4 points we should have had in the bag

Agreed. Complacency FC today. We have no ruthless streak at all. So many attacking moves stymied. I’m puzzled as to why but we eased off at 4-1 and nobody on our side though Reading would come back into it. As professionals the last two games should make them hang their heads in shame.

Second half in particular Reading were far more entertaining.

Piroe gave away their penalty. Pretty sure Paterson missed a tackle in the box for one of theirs as well. Plenty of blame to go around.
| Reading v Swansea City : Sky Bet Championship 21/22 MATCHDAY THREAD on 17:27 - Apr 18 with 825 views | max936 | Need someone to get into Downes's head to stop him earning yellow cards, our midfield balance changed when he went off, Christie again looked tired, if Obafemi scores that goal instead of missing, the post mortem of the game wouldn't be so disheartening, I'mad absolutely deflated after that.
