| Reading v Swansea City : Sky Bet Championship 21/22 MATCHDAY THREAD on 18:22 - Apr 18 by shingle | Take Piroe and his goals out of this team and where would we be, to many are getting excited for my liking, i can not see him being here next season and unless we are lucky enough to find a replacement as good as him next season will be a struggle, no doubt the ones who believe in Martin will think otherwise but i think they are going to end up extremely disappointed, we also have to be mindful that any half decent offer for any of our better players will be snapped up by the yanks. |
I do believe in Martin. However as I stated before if we lose Proe we have to use the money to replace him. Otherwise undoubtedly we would struggle. Even if he stays we need a new keeper. Fisher isn't the answer

| Reading v Swansea City : Sky Bet Championship 21/22 MATCHDAY THREAD on 17:39 - Apr 18 by ReslovenSwan1 | Swansea were 4-1 up and needing to close out the game. Possession football has to be the way but also required is physicality and application when under stress. On the bench there were no defenders. Bennett, Burns not picked Bidwell released Cooper on loan injured. Manning was on the bench but does not add size or strength for the aerial battle that was always coming. from Joao and co. Bring Bennett / Burns on for the last crazy 10, surely? 6ft 4i n + and ready to answer all the physical questions. What else does the losing home team have left in their locker. I am not sure why Burns is at Swansea. [Post edited 18 Apr 2022 17:40]

Today revealed the flaws of having two small central defenders, some of the crosses that hurt us were very basic.
| Even when you know, you never know? |

Deep breathes needed tonight.

What a ridiculous thing to say. Piroe is here end of. Get over it. Take Diego Maradona out of the 1986 Argentina side and Argentina wouldn’t have won the World Cup. Take Scott Sinclair out of the 2011 playoff final and Swansea may have lost. Take away the space rocket that took Neil Armstrong to the moon, and he wouldn’t have landed on the moon. All ifs, buts and maybe. [Post edited 18 Apr 2022 18:56]

Not always about what you want or happy with, have to be realistic aswell. Saying that, not happy about the majority of the 2nd half, some points you made were valid. A lot will be learned from today, 4-1 up with 72% poseesion, still to hear the % on the possession after going 4-1 up.

I have pledged not to comment regarding RM as an individual .I will stand by that although it's hard not to feel indignation over his scandalous comment about us not being a proper club. That He is the one to make us such shows massive arrogance. We have always been a proper club;fans are decent and have been through a lot. My ol man died this week 5 three years ago.At 93 ,he was still fuming amongst the pain of the bowel cancer and he was always complaining.Never happy.A proper fan. He look me to my first game in 1958 and I sat on his knee amongst proper fans in a proper old rickety centre stand with a bag of boiled sweets to gorge myself sick on.The fans around us were hard working working class proper folk who wore a collar and tie and a Mackintosh to games after they d worked that morning in the foundry, pit, steelworks, factory. I read of some Brighton vegan who used to play for Norwich City and won nothing in his career now basically saying we are nowt more than trailer trash until HE changes us. People can either be taken in by this or not.If they are, then the storm that will come will engulf them. It's just as well I am clearly on a yellow card on here and I dont want the trolls to win and seeing me go for good. I love my football club and the current situation upsets me deeply.People in Australia,NZ ,USA ,China,Gibraltar will all feel this indignity ;few will manifest their feelings on a forum such as this.

There is no gang culture. Just that a lot of people resent the negativity he brings to the board. He clearly hates Martin and waits until we get pegged back to post. Nowhere to be seen when we were 4-1 up. Just my opinion, regardless of what others feel regarding him.
