We do seem to have an exceptionally high number of internationals. This will be another. And many of them outside of Europe, so long travels during international breaks. When you have that many key players as internationals, it does reduce the international breaks to little more than recovery period for the rest of the squad. I don't think you can do much constructive tactical work with the squad.

(Well of course, big clubs have the same issue, but then they also have 2 players in every position who can step up in case of injury or fatigue, a luxury we do not have).

I wouldn't be surprised if the club is holding back Cannon's announcement until tomorrow in an attempt to lift spirits after a loss at Brum tonight.

Oh, and has anyone yet mentioned what a pity it is Dom Ball isn't with us now?

Fox or Cook no doubt asking the question:

'Will he play to the left of me, or play to the right of me, or even in front of me....'

Is this another ridiculous Internet lie !!!

Medicals done and four year contract produced few days ago, yet nothing else.

Would have heightened the man's profile and more awareness of his availability.

A more upwardly mobile championship club alerted and new offer to outbid relegation threatened QPR.

if this comes off, seems excellent work but many along these lines in the past, yet disappear into the ether...

Guess if he is coming to any UK Club he'd need to have a work permit too, which could cause completion of any contract to take longer. They'd need to verify he is a free agent and not still tied to Boavista.

Can you imagine FL discover some obscure rule where he is technically still a Boavista player that did not run out until minutes after we signed him. 30 point penalty, transfer embargo and relegated.

They then have to get International Clearance. Plus they have to fix the dodgy sound system before they announce anything.

Plus they have to check with all of Reggies's family and friends if anyone among them knows how to fix it, for a cool £500 (or approx $117 in US money).

I'm holding out hope it might be one of those 5pm on a Friday announcements to coincide with a nice pint.

He's used to playing at the Portuguese Loftus Road in Portugal so hopefully he'll feel at home here.

It does seem to have gone quiet.
But QPR is turning into a news free zone.
