Paal is a bit of an unsung hero. Granted he's not great at set pieces but neither is Chair. Paal's season rating on say WhoScored.com, is only just below Chair's suggesting he's been our second most consistent player. And, he's weighed in with more than his fair share of goals, including that one v Huddersfield.
I reckon our dutchie on the left hand side deserves a bit more recognition. Well done Ken. Keep it going.
Interesting fact we learnt about Kenneth in the tour of the training ground: apparently he’s always the first one to ask for the film of his performance after matches so he can learn from mistakes etc. suggests a certain level of commitment and professionalism (not saying others don’t do this, he was just mentioned as being particularly keen).
I like the Paal song but we need to find a new last line.
Great to have a thread praising Paal.
He is one of those players that goes under the radar, a little, simply because he is decent and effective.
Ie not noticeably bad or outstandingly great.
But he does his job with the minimum of fuss and has weighed in with a few goals also.
Because of his often invisible effectiveness, he is never discussed on forums such as this, because most of us are very pleased to have him in our team.
I would like to see us ensure we tie him down for a few years yet. And he is a candidate for POTY in a very poor season. A proper professional with plenty of commitment.
Is he the most talented? Nope, but he always appears to give it his all and thats all I want to see from the 11 players playing for my team

That’s good to know. I really like Paal, very difficult to call player of the year now but if I had to I think he’d get my vote.
You had to go and jinx him. Someone said earlier he's good most games then has the occasional one where he's a bit of a liability. Today was one of those. Glad to get out of it with a point.
Just so this Kenneth thread does not finish on a negative.
AND….. I did come up with it as an obvious song the minute he signed
Paal’s our Dutchie ‘pon da lef’ hand side (me say) Paal’s our Dutchie ‘pon da lef hand side (give him da ball) Give him da ball, him make it run and roll (give him da ball) Give him da ball, an’ we gone score a goal”
Not sure on the first goal. Can't see how Paal is to blame. Seems to me like Chair loses McLean?
On the second goal, I thought he was too narrow, but lloking athe replays he absolutely had to come in to stop Rowe. Rowe then passed wide to 'Paal's man' who crossed for the goal and Paal looked bad, but if we go back a few seconds it was clear that he was overloaded 1 on 2. Hayden and Colback were too slow to close the space that Rowe dropped into and too slow to to close him down so that Paal could concentrate on his wide man and prevent him crossing.
