I saw Paul Parker yesterday as well in the Ellerslie Road concourse - a day for returning legends
He was on BBC duty providing comments on their live feed as the QPR link. They also had some t0sser called Jon Newsome providing comments for Leeds who said the game was our Cup Final….. if he knew recent history he’d know it’s usually a good three points for us.

Its nonsense like this that causes nobody to like Leeds. Cup final? FFS, they are up there with Glasgow Rangers for how deluded they are. Have had about 5 good seasons in the last 50 years.

I feel very let down by Armstrong, obviously I have no idea if we ever offered him a deal of any decency but I suspect we did.
We nurtured him, gave him great support, why not just sign the contract and if you end up being the new Eze you get your move anyway.
Right or wrong, am looking forward to putting my point across to him in April at Loftus Road.
I‘ll be clapping him.
We’ve no idea how his transfer came about, but I do know he gave his all for us while he was here. I know 442 is considered 1990s dinosaur tactics but could you imagine him and Frey up front?
Also, do we really need to motivate players to play against us?

Wise words, totally agree really on stoking him up.
But clapping him? For what?! Even though I really had high hopes for him, even I had to admit he didn't achieve much.
Personally I shall do the wrong thing, which will be doing the requisite hand signals....when he outpaces our back 4 and sticks it in the net down the loft end and bares his arse to us all.

Dunno, just a player I respect really. Thats enough reason for me.

His celebrations are rarely that unelabroate

There was a big mouth who unironically looked like Keith Lemon queuing up at WC tube on Saturday telling anyone who‘ll listen that we were quiet for the home team and this was our big final.
One QPR old boy told him he didn’t hear a thing from the away end but had a hearing aid to be fair.

Sky pushes Leeds as Sky Bet is based in Leeds.
So, its like looking after your own up north. Its all happening in Leeds you see otherwise, some new Sky CEO shuts it down and moves it elsewhere as it could be anywhere. So, Leeds must be made to look great constantly in ALL ways.
So, Leeds lot in Sky feel the need to push Leeds as a happening place as they feel insecure competing with London (which is where it really is all happening).
This message translates right across Sky as "push Leeds hard as it helps Sky Bet as they are based in Leeds". And as a result you then get a lot of Leeds fans in Sky and the merry-go-round we have seen for some years now.
I have no evidence of this except working in many corporates, when one HQ has to compete with another that happens to be in London, that other one usually poos its pants and doubles down on how great it is (when it isn't) and tries to compete with London as a whole city (stupid idea).
It makes little diff, they shut it down anyway and move it. The only time I have not seen this done is Nationwide based in Swindon, who keep shutting down London offices and then reopening them as they have to. When you employ everyone in Swindon and then need new skills, you end up in London anyway. In that company, the Swindon lot actively try to get your fired if you work from London. They love it when the London office is closed.
zzzzzzzzzz

Saw that cup final comment on the bbc, absolute nonsense. That sort of arrogance is why Leeds hate Man’ U…. While everyone else hates them both 😉

A small issue with this is that Sky the TV group is owned by Comcast and Skybet is owned by Flutter who merely license the name after they bought it from CVC. They aren't the same company

Yeah, I don't think its anything too serious. The most local team to SKY HQ is still the mob from Twickenham.
It's more SKY's focus on a "popular" Champ team every year, like some sort of fairytale story as they follow them for a season.
Sometimes its Wayne Rooney's Derby County, or whoever Scott Parker is boring to death.
I don't think Comcast are that clever, they already paid too much to buy SKY anyway ;p The betting company has to have a glass wall for legal reasons

Considering we have no strikers, I for one could see him being a missing piece we desperately need. His finishing and touch were not exactly immaculate but hardly a downgrade on current options. We did get a fee for him but how was that spent? ...on a '#10 who has been replaced by a player we had all along.
