We don’t hate him Nick but we can see Baz was awful with trying to stop shots driven hard across him which you either don’t see or refuse to admit it . Surely we can’t all be wrong ? From what I see and most of us see all our keepers make mistakes including Peretz but given more game time I’m sure he’ll improve and those saves at Stoke were outstanding. I think Peretz will also be good at organising his defence as he is more vocal . |

Nonsense, Bazunu did well to get across goal, spread himself and it hit him. Peretz’s 2 saves at Stoke were beyond Bazunu’s ability, he’s nowhere near athletic enough to pull those off, particularly the low one Pertetz touched onto the post- no chance Bazunu saves that, the ball would’ve been past him before he got near it, too flat footed. Like others I find your continual defence of Bazunu baffling. BTW I am also reserving judgement on Peretz, and he certainly hasn’t convinced on crosses under the bar. However he’s clearly a far more able keeper in terms of athleticism and shot saving ability. |
Baz was good at making simple saves look difficult.
First impressions of Peretz is that he makes difficult saves look easy.

Stays fit
Puts himself about ( not endlessly looking for fouls instead of physically challenging for the ball).
Has a reasonable touch and can hold the ball up
Can head the ball
Doesn't miss too many sitters

Really good goal so well done for that.
Looked like he had tidy feet during one piece of play in the corner near the end of the game.
He doesnt seem fit but that can be improved upon but first impression he is not particularly mobile.
He's not a leaper as he's a bit of a unit.
All that said this was his first appearance and already he has made more of a contribution than our expensive USA born striker!! | | | |

He also has a World Cup place to play for and not that many games left to make a good impression. As the Sky commentator said today, Canada will play their group games in Toronto and Vancouver so how memorable would those occasions be for the players that make the team. That is a great incentive for him to stay fit and make a good impression between now and the end of the season. |  | | |
