Maybe it's too early to judge Nourry and perhaps he has been lucky so far. But Les Ferdinand and Chris Ramsey had strong links to Spurs and I don't recall them bringing in anyone of the quality of Morgan or Hyeok. Not even under Warburton when we were playing the sort of look after the ball football that would have suited a few bright academy prospects looking to cut their teeth in grown-up football.

You’ve totally missed the point which is clear in my OP.
Not saying Edwards hasn’t got the ability but he should not be playing now Morrison is fit and we have little to play for.

The ‘little to play for’ bit is the part we disagree.
Yes it’s unlikely we will go down but as I’ve said several times and no one has addressed , it’s this team that went 2 wins in 17. We are 2 in 7 now and if we go anything like the first bad run then your ‘nothing to play for ‘ will look very twitchy. Unlikely, of course , but strange things happen sometimes .
Get the points on the board first and then leave Edwards out .
I know Rsole will say we are losing games with Edwards playing , but Morrison is going to need some time settle back in and as good as he’s been , Edwards has the potential to be a different level . Yang is very young and inexperienced at this level and fit me should be an impact sub .
We are still only talking about 2 players out of the 11 though.
With Field out for what is potentially the season, the midfield is a little more of a concern to me for the next few games . |  | | |

I think for the older players like Morrison and Smyth, they should be trying to get the place on merit in training or improving on areas of weakness, not just waiting for loans to leave. We could get more kids in the squad and give them minutes but personally I'd leave it at least until after Leeds to make that call.
You'd hope everyone at the club would be aiming to aim as high as possible to send a bit of a message that we've turned a corner and aren't going to be in relegation battle next season. |  | | |

I don't think this idea of freezing out loan players would benefit us at all in future windows. Loan market if done correctly can be very impactful (10/11 - Walker, Routledge, Smith, Miller)

Pretty sure it was the other way around; played whilst JCS was off.
I agree with playing players that will be here next year. Morrison should be getting games so that he is more prepared for next year.
But then I am going back on myself as I think Yang is better than Smyth. I don't think Smyth is a starting 11 player. Decent impact player but his goal/assist ratio is poor. Either way, I think he'll be o nthe bench next year and we'll sign a new RW (does Dembele play there?). | | | |

Even then, when Marti played him, this nearly worked with Willock, who later was not getting what he wanted from other clubs until Cardiff gave in, and we can see how that turned out. The players can also see how that turned out too.
So, if Dunne and Paal don't get what they want from other clubs, there is always a chance they will come back. Also, playing Friel/Esquerdinha is not our immediate starter, who is Dale. While Dale is injured, Paal can cover even if he's not coming back; at least the rest of the team has a Champ level LB to evolve with this season, even if it's going to change.
Dunne, we still want to keep happy and not pi$$ed off, as you never know until you know. Same with Saito, now is the wrong time to drop either. Saito should defo start so, we can love him up to come with us perm.
Same with Cook as he can pretend to be JCS while JCS is injured again.
Formation is also important even if the players will change so, same with Frey as well.
Then the team looks somewhat better.

They’re going to have to do a hell of a lot of wheeler dealing this summer to reduce the bloat even before the manager gets his ‘own’ players in.

EVery club in this division needs loan players and how good your loan players are has a big say on where you finish, even when we went up under Warnock we relied on loans like Routledge, Walker, Miller to get us over the line
The idea that we stop playing loan players when we still need 2/3 more wins to secure championship football is insane. We should be picking our best team including loans and getting as many points as we can this season, the higher the finish the better we look to potential signings in the summer |  | | |
