I wouldn't say that today's offering was worthy of the old favourite 'it's all falling to pieces' being wheeled out. Given the injury list, JS's hand was forced and it so happens that two of the players who were starting for the first time made mistakes which let Sheff Utd in twice. Wouldn't say that it was a 'club's falling to pieces' afternoon though. |

Unfortunately our back up squad players who have been forced to play more than they should because of the crippling injury list are not good enough to play the number of games they have.
With a fully fit first team we are comfortably a top ten team, the team we're putting out currently is relegation standard. |  |

Hasn't that been the mentality of he club for years which is part of the problem
Loads of points to play for but as usual we just want to sack off games as it's ok lose at QPR .
We are in a no better position than last season after spending ridiculous amounts of money .

Think we basically still a young team and that team will have ups and downs... we are having more downs to be sure
2 games ago we went to the team who is 5th and won and won convincingly... and that team as gone on to win both there other 2 games this week
So for me it is far from all doom and gloom, except I chose the wrong games to go to.
Not sure who JS could have put at LB... perhaps Vale, or JCS? And his possible other choice is olying his trade at Norwich
He decided to go with the lad.... and as for Saito... not sure what the thinking is behind him
Yes we are struggling, I guess on many factors, but we know we can defend... we got 3 clean sheets in a row away from home recently....
Injuries have just about decimated us, and the Madsen one is by far the worse one. We have kids in the team that have literally played an handful of games... and are expected to be up to standard, sorry that is not possible.
They are kids and should be bedded in,not thrown in. He need to get to 50 points and then we can at least relax a little, and take some pressure off.

I must take some of that back. We have some good players but they must be be so pissed off with the whole situation. Have a good game and get dropped for the next one. Getting picked when they obviously need a rest. Don’t tell about how thin the squad is and we loan Sam Field to Norwich.

I agree with most of that. As you say we had Madsen playing at Hull. The hole left after his injury both offensively and defensively is huge and of course made worse by all our other injuries. Stefan appears to have tried to replace him with Morgan, but apart from a couple of decent passes and a bit of temper at the end he was mostly invisible against SU. The changes Stefan made 2nd half especially to 3 CB's seemed to help a little and if he can use Dunne, Cook and JCS at CB, MBengue and RND as the wingbacks, and all of Varane (if fit) Hayden and Edwards in the midfield, this should shore us up at least for Boro. | | | |
