| Derby Reflection 22:15 - Oct 14 with 6166 views | bluenwhite10 | Comfortable performance against very poor side. When I saw the line up I did have concerns about where are the goals coming from, but they came 4 times and we took our chances when they appeared. The side looks good at the moment and play some great stuff at times. Gutted we didn’t keep a clean sheet, but if that is all I am disappointed with tonight, then let it be. Adamson is getting better every week and when you look around the youngster that have come through do not look out of place at this level. Madsen seems to have an extra yard if pace about him too. Hard to choose a MOM as it could have been one of many, but yet again Ronnie was excellent. Come on your R’s | | | | |

| Derby Reflection on 22:28 - Oct 14 with 3675 views | NorthantsHoop | On the back of a great away point at West Ham, QPR did well tonight at last putting a poor Derby side away by half time. Shame about Mbengue's injury, he could be out for a while with it. You have to say at times we looked really sharp and focused and getting that all important first goal at home gave them confidence. Onwards to Birmingham City, tough game ahead against a good side, but we should be confident in our ability to get a result. | | | |
| Derby Reflection on 22:47 - Oct 14 with 3373 views | Tonto | I was actually disappointed by much of that performance. I know that sound stupid when you score 4 but i felt we were sloppy with the ball a lot, got some lucky bounces of the ball (for a change) and really should have won by more. We will play better and lose. Derby were 4 1 bad rather than us being 4 1 good [Post edited 14 Oct 22:48]

I get where you’re coming from If you didn’t watch the game and looked at the stats you’d think Derby were unlucky We are down as making 83 clearances and Derby not too dissimilar on shots plus (naturally) more possession Also - the BBC has Pierce Charles down as man of the match!!!! The story really was down to 10 men for that last 20 minutes Mad amount of injury time by the ref and I thought we were extremely sloppy in both periods of it. We looked desperate to get in for an orange from 45th minute and I do wonder if fitness levels are a factor….. not just due to those playing but also lack of availability of others. Huge positives to take with the form of players like Smyth, Kamara and Madsen plus to cohesion at the back with Adamson getting better each game. Onwards

Yeah I think an example of "stats do lie" I suspect the stats as of 80 minutes were much more reflective of the actual game that we all watched being played.

| Derby Reflection on 23:24 - Oct 14 with 2789 views | Paddyhoops | Great first half against a limited Derby side . Remember last season we put cross after cross in against a team of giants . Same giants this season but we just played around them and cut them to pieces at times . Everyone put in a shift tonight . Kemper and Kolli in particular but the special K tonight was Kamara . Outstanding. Just a class act . | | | |

| Derby Reflection on 23:33 - Oct 14 with 2685 views | nix | Absolutely gutted for Mbengue. A loss to the squad with his pace and commitment. I know he has the occasional brain fart but he put in some good performances last season and will be really disappointing to lose him for the whole rest of the season.I’ll miss his general exuberance on the pitch too. Difficult to look past that but this was a very solid performance. We snuffed out pretty much all of their chances and those we didn’t Charles dealt with impeccably. Their goal wasn’t happening with eleven men. Lloyd added something different and is looking much more in control of the ball and his passing. Took his goal well too. Kolli looked much more of a team player, passing when not in a good position to shoot and closing down much better off the ball. Kemper looked very solid and Smyth is becoming very important to our attacking force. Ronnie, Dunne and Adamson all worked well together and Madsen looks like he’s coming back to his best form and linked well with Kamara. These are the kind of matches we were struggling with last season and we lost to them home and away so that shows some progress. | | | |

| Derby Reflection on 23:34 - Oct 14 with 2672 views | Logman | I thought we were good. Yes, we misplaced some passes and the decision making and timing were not always spot on but what I liked was how as a team we sought to control the game in both halves with all departments combining well and from Charles in goal to Kolli up front you could see that they had worked on all aspects of the game on the training ground. | | | |
| Derby Reflection on 23:34 - Oct 14 with 2674 views | ManinBlack | Pleased that we finally managed to take our chances but aggravated we only drew the second half. The goal we conceded dropped us one place to fifth. | | | |
| Derby Reflection on 23:36 - Oct 14 with 2653 views | baz_qpr | Quite a strange game this one. We never got out of first gear and were 3-0 up. Derby looked a team beaten from the first whistle, appreciate they have loads of injuries, but god knows what they were trying to do against us. Madsen and Kamara dominated the midfield. Smyth is on fire at the moment getting splinters on the bench with Northern Ireland seems to have done wonders. I thought Kolli led the line really well and Alfie was a menace as a wide forward. Delighted for him. Vale scored a good goal but we are still seeing 4/10 Harvey rather than 8/10 Harvey. Back 5 were all excellent, great that Kemper already has an assist and Adamson looks every bit the championship full back this season. Kemper v Cirkin for left back is going to be an interesting competition In a 4-1 win Ronnie was MOTM again for me. Absolutely brilliant at the back and that pass for Poku's miss was world class. Kone and Varane continue to disappoint and look miles off it. Even prior to the injury we were a lot poorer when they came on. Gotta feel for Mbengue got his studs caught in the turf as he turned, right in front of us in W and I can't remember hearing a player screaming like that before. Almost certainly ACL. Medical team and stretcher was a shambles though so much so that Jimmy went and grabbed the splints and sprinted on with them. Director of performance needs to be reviewing that. Good job we do have 3 right backs this season and might need another. [Post edited 14 Oct 23:37]

| Derby Reflection on 23:41 - Oct 14 with 2610 views | OxfordHoops | Lots of positives to take from the team performance! 20 minutes with 10 men distorted the stats a little, but overall we never really got out of 3rd gear. Really unfortunate injury to Mbengue, hopefully not as serious as it looks? Even JV looked to move forward when he was in possession 👏🏻 lots to like about us at the moment, and considering the players out, we are battling and maintaining a bit of consistency, | | | |

Great win, we can’t take these sorts of performances for granted but I think we’ve played better in most other games this season
| Derby Reflection on 23:56 - Oct 14 with 2471 views | Jimboqpr | Im not sure how I can put this in any other way other than Derby were fuc*ing awful for most ot it. What I like about us though is now we seem to put that sort of side away now. A lot of people are saying we were in 3rd gear to win like that. Signs of progress. Remember when we used have to be to he into top gear in this league just to look respectable? Now we're winning 4-1 with a less than full strength team. Progress. [Post edited 14 Oct 23:57]

| Derby Reflection on 00:06 - Oct 15 with 2402 views | stevec | Good professional performance throughout, which is what’s needed against niggly bastards like that lot, left their foot in late on so many tackles. Am concerned about this pitch, Mbengue another one to fall victim. Know it can happen to anyone but it happens a lot here, particularly since the relaying of it. | | | |
| Derby Reflection on 00:41 - Oct 15 with 2249 views | TomS | I thought our structure, movement off the ball and quick passing ensured we collectively played as a better team than Derby tonight, so we won the game. That's as a result of coaching and training, with everyone knowing their jobs and where to be on the pitch. It was a very professional performance, while also being very pleasing on the eye on occasion. I'm really enjoying what I'm seeing this season. What is our potential if we ever got everyone out of the treatment room and back on the pitch? | | | |
| Derby Reflection on 06:10 - Oct 15 with 1762 views | Malintabuk | I sometimes feel that we are never content as Rs fans if we don't have a boo boy... and it seems to be Varane... even around me last night there was a lot of negatively... IMO I thought the 30 minutes he had he was really effective... there was one moment in midfield where he was surrounded by 4 Derby players, fought for the ball, and came away with it... and then he slotted into RB... thought he had a good game The Mbengue injury took the gloss off for me, think I would have rathered we lost than him to pick that up... it looked last night that was a season ending injury for the lad.... He will be badly missed... not only for what he gives on the pitch, which as times is pretty eccentric, but more off it. His celebration for the Smyth goal just shows how together this team is... my heart goes out to the lad | | | |

I’ll second that, didn’t think we actually played that well, just up against a poor side defensively and took our chances. Worth considering how many players they were missing and further disrupted by the early sub. No complaints great win and got the job done just think we have and will play better.

Yeah. We certainly p*ssed them off. Some very full blooded challenges flying in in the second half. Kemper for one was incensed at one point where he was pretty much assaulted with no attempt to play the ball and they were late on Smyth several times, seemingly for the fun of it. Nasty team.
