Interesting that Adkins and Monk have now left their positions because (presumably) lack of faith / trust in the owners.

Most managers wait for the inevitable bullet and pick up their golden goodbye payment, so I wonder if they have other jobs to go to?

Edit: just noticed that Monk did get the bullet, scrub that...

"Thank you for supporting Queens Park Rangers Steep Staircase"... and I thought I'd signed up for a rollercoaster.

Think he was on his way anyway, either jumping or pushed. That ridiculous Jota deal last week broke the camel's back.

Monk finally starts to sort the mess from your previous mistake of employing RedChapp and giving him your credit card details, only for you to sack him in the summer when he was a points deduction away from threatening the playoffs.

He is a bit of an odd one though, a combination of a good agent and taking jobs with crazy owners means he keeps getting employed, but he needs to find the right fit and get roots down so we can see if he's really the top championship manager he threatens to be

Have always said he gives me Hughes vibes. Maybe still a bit of the Blackburn Hughes who could put a limited but functional side out but give him any money and he'll get lazy and take the mick.

I missed this Northern.

What was this Jota deal please?

It's philosophical.

They let Jota go to Villa for £2m and Gary Gardner. Not far off Sinclair to West Ham levels of fcking dreadful that one. Although it did let them escape their transfer embargo to be fair.

Thanks Northern.

Gardner must have had a high valuation!

Wasn't it mainly because Jota was on eye-watering wages, though? As crazy as it seems on the face of it, they needed rid of him really.

I think Monk is a good manager. He was doing a good job keeping Swansea in the Prem - and we've seen since he left that was no small feat.

Whenever I see his teams play they look sharp, fit and focused.

If we hadn't got Warburton I'd have been very happy to have him.

Yeah concur, he's a decent boss - who seems to end up in weird awful jobs no one else wants? Doesn't quite connect for me why that's the case. Maybe he's a glutton for punishment

Wonder if he'll end up at Derby if/when Lampard goes to Chelsea.

That decision makes me wonder if the directors are actually Villa fans. It's tantamount to sabotage.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

At the risk of sounding cynical we are QPR so you may well get your wish before Christmas.

Let's get in a manager called Pep. That usually works.

Must admit surprised by his departure, didn't see that coming.

The Jota thing I actually refused to believe until it was confirmed by incoming club, (Villa?)

Something very odd about this deal, (as mentioned).

I mentioned pep Clotet as a possible replacement for Mclaren a few months back
A very decent coach by all accounts , Swansea, Leeds , Brum all have good words to say about him

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore
