They’re *currently* flying. We were flying in October.

There was a season recently when Reading were flying at one point, with people on here asking why we had not shown their vision and brought in a foreign manager. By the end of the season, their form had dropped off to such an extent that the manager was volunteering to leave.

We are rank at the moment, there’s no hiding from that, but nothing is decided in February.

You're desperately clutching at straws now. We were top after a handful of games. After 32 matches, Luton are 4th and Millwall 6th, whilst QPR are sinking into a relegation scrap. Whatever happens from here on in, I think it's safe to say that they've had a better season than us. Last season, Luton finished 6th and Millwall finished 9th so it's no fluke. On similar resources, they're building whilst we sit around sulking, bemoaning FFP.

Flavio got us up in four years, yet is despised by the fanbase. The insane clown posse have taken us from the Premier League to the bottom half of the Championship, pissed away £500m and failed to find a new ground, yet continue to be defended.

How come teams like Barnsley, Brentford, Huddersfield and Luton make the play-offs (and even get promoted) despite FFP? How come Brentford manage to build a new ground? How come Bristol City and Boro manage to sell players for £10m?

Indeed. It's funny; when Flavio said that he wasn't interested in the opinions of those who pay £20, many fans were up in arms, yet ultimately he achieved the aim of reaching the PL within 4 years.

Bungle and his gang spunk £500m, get their pants pulled down by successive managers, oversee relegation from the PL, land the club a record FFP fine, waste money on consultations for a stadium planned on land owned by Car Giant, burn relations with H&F, fail to even bid for numerous plots in and around White City (despite spending on infrastructure being outside of FFP), hire a DoF with no experience or qualities for the role, lose a bid to build a training ground at Warren Farm to a few Hanwell residents (losing millions in the process), continue to pursue a Cat 2 academy despite losing at least 5 prospects to EEEP for little over £100k, and then pepper the squad with loans whilst insisting that they want to develop our own.

Despite all of this, they continue to get a free pass from some comatosed fans who are afraid that if they speak up, these marvellous owners will leave. The irony is that they can't leave because no one will buy the mess they've created. We're stuck with them so we may as well hold them to account.

Sustainable within FFP terms is not about making a profit as it allows a club to make a £39m loss over a 3 year rolling period. As a result, the initial aim should be to generate enough revenue in order to minimise losses and create sufficient headroom to improve the first team. The majority of clubs in the division do not have parachute payments so they're finding other ways to create this headroom. As I stated in my longer submission, there are some clear and obvious mistakes being made which, if corrected, will help improve the situation.

Maybe you should meet with the board and owners - you seem to have all the answers. Fancy a job as CEO??

Flavio got 1 thing right in his 4 years in appointing Warnock and then sold as soon as we got promoted. The current owners have got somethings right as well as somethings wrong but have been here a lot longer than Flavio

They appoint them. The problem is the lack of hands-on leadership - our chairman says nothing, our DoF was appointed to appease the supporters. Brentford are where they are because the owner has a vision and appoints the right people to deliver it. We have players slagging off the manager in public when they've won 1 in 17.

So rather than directing the protest at making sure that the owners are aware that this isn't acceptable and demanding some changes within the club, you think it's a better approach to demand they leave and we roll the dice and see who's about and fancies bank rolling us and hope they do a better job.

Then I disagree, it's as likely to make the situation worse than it is to fix it.

For all their faults the owners have shown that are willing to change their approach, so I don't see why they wouldn't take rational criticism (via protest) on board.

They have got it wrong since day one one and are still getting it wrong 12 years later
They are the worst thing that ever happened to this club , I long for the day they go and if that means going to the conference then so be it

So you think that they've got the same approach as they did at the start with Tony on twitter and handing the reigns over to Hughes and Redknapp,? You don't see the move to a DoF as a change in approach and a better way of running the club if done correctly?

But it's not being done correctly. We flip flop between producing our own, to buying the latest managers favourite to loaning in every Tom, Dick and Harry that wants a cushy season off.

I agree but that's the DoF, not the owners, that set that direction for the club and isn't adhering to it.

Yeah a premier league club with Bruno Perone and Jay Bothroyd as their marquee signings, how did we not get into the champions league. That was after all Briatores original 4 year plan if you remember correctly.

Ah the Briatore revision again.

If he hadn't backed the fck off and left it to Bhatia, Saksena and Warnock we'd have been relegated to League One with Bent and Priskin playing up front.

He does speak some eloquent and concise sense. It's hard to paint QPR as any kind of success story in recent years and, as they say, the fish rots from the head. We lack vision, resilience, and professionalism from top to bottom, and every staff member's position should be up for serious scrutiny this summer, whether we sink or no.

Perhaps but that's somewhat irrelevant and speculative. When all is said and done the history books show that Tango and Cash achieved their aim of promotion to the Premier League within 4 years and left QPR a solvent club.

In the 12 years since, Bungle and co have presided over a comedy of errors, from both the front and the back seats. If the team doesn't pull it's socks up, League 1 beckons with Shodipo and Martin playing up front.

"If done correctly", yes. Unfortunately our DoF isn't fit for purpose. Another mistake by this board who hired a former player just to appease fans.

Nonsense. The current owners have got very little right and most things wrong. Moreover, duration of ownership is not an indicator of success. Mike Ashley owned Newcastle United for a very long time but you'll struggle to find many Geordies who think that his stint was successful.

Potential LSA Protest Blackburn game on 07:40 - Feb 19 with 1610 viewsWilkinswatercarrier

I was just thinking, as the owners are getting a battering on here, that they did just finance the training facility etc. That is a serious investment and the only way they make any of that money back is promotion.
I for one will not be protesting if it is calling for the owners to leave. As then we would be right in the.........
4
Potential LSA Protest Blackburn game on 09:01 - Feb 19 with 1517 viewsNorthantsHoop

We need to get behind the team, the stuff with the owners is a distraction, as has been detailed by Clive many times, writing a £1.8m cheque each month for an average Championship club, just to keep the place going is not an attractive prospect. There is no doubt a need to refresh the leadership roles within the club and the head coach (who just does not fit/do it) is probably the way forward. I long ago accepted QPR are a Championship club, but I do not want us in League 1 we would struggle to get out of there.

We do not need further issues within the Club......just get to the game and support the Team. What do you think anyone is going to get out of a protest???....don't you think the 'powers' know that the supporters are in distress!!!!
