He'll do for me. I like him a lot, calm and composed on the ball and seems to work very nicely alongside Steve Cook. Only 21 and cost us 300k (apparently). Could be the low-key bargain of the window

Yep. Feel like he's made a big difference since he came back from injury fully.

Yes he’s good. Wasn’t injured when he went off?

Agreed. As long as we have two of him, Cook and JCS available we'll be ok at the back

QPR - "shit but local"

Seemed to just be managing minutes/getting a fresh player on.

It was soon after he was treated for an injury. I think it was a kick he received so hopefully he'll be ok for Saturday.

This kid looks the real deal , never panics and looks very easy on the ball, early days but I'm very impressed!!

For a 21 year old, he looks impressively grizzled and weather-beaten, like he works on a trawler. And did anyone else think Ashby’s face was the colours of a rhubarb and custard sweet? It must be colder than I thought.

I've been impressed with him so far. Given JCS' injury concerns, it's nice to have Liam fit and firing.

Slightly worrying we've got another ostensibly brilliant centre back who can't do minutes though.

Oh come on mate, this is QPR. No matter how big the silver lining, it'll be obscured by a cloud sooner rather than later.

Looks good so far. Calm under pressure.
Only criticism is that he doesn't seem to have much of a left foot. Poss issue when playing alongside Cook, who is also v right footed.

I like him too - Very assured and steady. Needs to work on his left foot but is a young age and better days lie ahead for him for sure.

Just a shame he's been injured and we had to put Dunne in the middle. Our defence is better with Dunne at RB.

So far, what's not to like? He might be a bit injury prone but it's too early to tell. That at his age he's successfully playing at Championship level suggests he's only going to get better and better.

Two of him? Don’t be greedy.

Is he really only 21 ? Get him on a long contract. He's already totally at ease at Championship level.

One of the people I go with said on Saturday that he always seems to be in the right place at the right time, he seems to be able to read the game very well.

Soon beat that out of him.
