First Head Over The Parapet Leeds Match Thread on 15:06 - Mar 15 with 2669 views | ManinBlack | Shame about the own goal as had we gone in two up like last season we may have gone on to win. That goal got Leeds back in it and no surprises they went for it second half. This is a better Leeds team than last season and having seen them win 3-1 at Sheffield United a few weeks back, I think we deserve some credit for holding out for 40 minutes against a better team. I fully expected them to go on and win with so much time left to play. More concerned losing Cook and Saito for easier games coming up. Losing another attacking player from a goal shy team is not ideal.

First Head Over The Parapet Leeds Match Thread on 14:36 - Mar 15 by stainrods_elbow | Workmanlike performance in a forgettable game for me. Has to be 2 points dropped after being 2-0 up virtually on h/t. We did very little, attacking-wise, in the 2nd half, and Frey was atrocious all game. After Dunne's Cruyff turn in their box at the end, I'd put him in up top for the rest of the season. Saito has been good, and scored a fine goal, but that was a bloody brainless red, so I can only conclude he fancied a break. Paal, Dunne, and Cook all did decently, and we defended pretty well. Everyone else average. I'd like to see Dembele starting, especially at home. Overall, however decent at the back, we looked the epitome of mediocrity against a no more than OK Leeds. Still, a point is one more than most of us expected, I guess, so I'll take it. Still don't see us beating last season's points total, though, and don't really feel we've progressed. You can tell you weren’t at the game. Great effort from all the players against a strong team. Frey gave it everything on his own up there and kept chasing until the end but yeah you think he was ‘atrocious’.

Completely agree. Exciting game and deserved a point.

I thought it was definitely a point well won. Don't think there's a single player in our starting 11 that gets in the Leeds team. Real determination shown to hold on and even caused them problems right until the end. Most importantly, we stopped the losing run.

Frey was fine. Ran hard all game and bashed their CBs about a fair bit. It's not like we had any better options off the bench. Anderson looked up for it today as well. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

So what? He couldn't trap the ball, lay it off, head it, or trouble the keeper, and topped it all off with a yellow card for shirt-grabbing in his frustration. Apart from that, you're right, he was mint!

Yeah, I was watching on a stream (with multiple replays/angles on key moments), and I draw an opinion based on watching QPR (in person and not) for nearly 50 years, but obviously my view is worthless on that basis, and I must bend the knee to your oracular truth-telling. More pathetic snobbery/entitlement from the self-appointed 'live' crowd. Give us a break!

No I think it is just people fed up with all the negative crap you talk. I mean obviously you see everything that is happening in your little troll cave with your multiple angles. But hey at least you can use this to start your little one man campaign to bitch about Marti again. First Head Over The Parapet Leeds Match Thread on 16:29 - Mar 15 with 1965 views | joe90 | We played well today. The team have to be given credit for that performance. I thought we were good out possession and are better suited to play a team that plays like Leeds. This was a much better game of football compared to the turgid one against Sheff Utd. Leeds second goal showed the difference in quality and we did well to snuff out their tactic. Better teams have come unstuck against Leeds this season. I’ve been watching more games online this season and definitely think watching live gives you a better sense of the performance and effort. You just can’t appreciate the speed of the game. It’s all opinions and this is mine. We all know the limitations of this squad, cut them some slack. We worked our socks off, scored a quality goal and held the divisions top team to a draw. I’m glad I was at Loftus Road to see it. Well done Rangers!
First Head Over The Parapet Leeds Match Thread on 16:38 - Mar 15 with 1896 views | derbyhoop | A few unsung heroes today. Paal, excellent until that FK at the death. A solid game from Fox. Colback and Andersen competing in midfield. As well as the usual workmate, Smyth put in a great cross fro Cook's goal. Frey, completing 90 minutes when there were no real alternatives

So glad we got a point. But watching the game today wasn't pleasant, except seeing Saito score. Anderssen needs to be put to pasture. I think he'd even agree. Morrison looks good needs to be a starter now if Cook is duffed. Frey is great but at times seems clumsy as f. Smyth was our best player today.

First Head Over The Parapet Leeds Match Thread on 17:33 - Mar 15 with 1650 views | Watford_Ranger | Just nice to see us play with some heart after the dross of the last week. Leeds, for the players they have, were poor IMO and we gave them a bit too much respect if anything but still have to commend the defence on Nardi having not loads to do at 2-2. Game was crying out for earlier subs IMO from both teams. Andersen was miles off it for me but others will see things differently. Make no mistake though we’re in a battle if we lose at Stoke. I think we’ll have enough to fall over the line but we’re making hard work of it.

Time to stop losing away starting at Stoke.

Yep. It took 4 games and less than 3 weeks for 14 points to be cut to 7. The games against Stoke and Cardiff are now very important indeed

He was absolutely spent after 70 minutes, but with no one to come on he had to keep going. It says something about him that we were the team threatening to score at the end. He loves it here, you can tell. Nice showing by Dembélé too, put them back on their heels. A bit surprising to see them settling for the draw.
First Head Over The Parapet Leeds Match Thread on 19:21 - Mar 15 with 1136 views | queensparker | Dunno how anyone can walk away from that game feeling grumpy. Maybe it didn’t come across on the stream but the whole team worked their bollocks off today and for once we competed in midfield, thought Colback and Edwards were excellent against a strong team and Andersen played his part too. Frey was his usual industrial self but didn’t stop for 90 minutes. A lot of snidey fouls by us too including Saito’s red which to me is a good thing, we looked really up for it today A good open game and we could have won it - we had a couple of breakaways where a a better ball would have left them wide open. We could also have lost - after their second goal we sat back and got battered for 30 mins. Lovely sunny day, pubs packed, enjoyable game to watch, gave the champions elect a proper game and Jimmy Dunne did a 360 pirouette in injury time and almost set up a winner. I’d have taken that all day long [Post edited 15 Mar 19:30]

I totally disagree about Frey today. He is definitely a unit and although, occasionally clumsy, bit like with Jimmy, his touch can be deceptive and he, at least maintains possession and a good outlet for the long punt forward, where we had only Lyndon, who was poor re this, for years. Old school centre forward, and perfectly adequate for our team at this level. His injury record this season is decent too. Missing Kolli and Celar and Lloyd's not it seems quite up to the level at times. Would love to keep the big man next season. Kolli and Kelman and one other, whether that's Celar or someone else. Decent game too. First fifteen was very impressed with Leeds. Played like the top of the table they are. But a couple of great finishes and we get a solid result. We are just playing for our league finishing position now, but let's go for our highest finish since Warburton era. Think it's just the three points required for complete safety now also.
