Far and away our best player now. By a distant mile.

He is Premiership quality. His passing is of the highest level.

If only the people he's passing in our team could trap a bag of cement.

He will get a big move, I'm very sure.

Harsh.

wasnt a fan of his last season like many others , have to give him creidt this season for turning it around , but with a tweak of the system i think he would do even better . stick him in the middle with two workhorses , two players who will break the play up and let him have time on the ball more , hes got a good pass on his when hes got time on the ball. playing alongside varanne mainly he dosnt have that time and has to do more leg work , would be nice for a few games to see him alongide say field and hadyn and see how it goes , it maight also let him or somebody from the middle get into the oppostion box something sadly missing this season.

Maybe so, W7.

It's just an opinion based on what I've seen.

Genuinely wouldn't be surprised if we see double digit bids for him in the summer.

May be the high of that game but he seems to have the class of a Premier League player for me - cannot believe I am writing that after last season.

Was an absolute monster today. Dominate.

Apparently his stats this season are comparable with Sander Berg at Sheffield United a couple of seasons ago. Expect him to go in the summer, so we should enjoy him while he's here. Great player and comes across as a good bloke.

He's really stepped it up this season when we really need him. Has he missed a game?

I hope he's with us for at least another season or two. I want to see him and Chair play together. Also right now, for me, he's irreplaceable. He's the team pivot. His passing is second to none and his dead ball delivery verges on immaculate. I'm hoping his laborious foot-speed deters bids from bigger clubs.

He might well want to stay - hang onto the comfort he's found this season. Could be out of his hands of course if he keeps playing like that, and what a goal to cap it off?

Bosh. Mayhem.

Hayden too though today - thought that was the best I'd seen him for us. Superb. If those two can play like that every week we can still go places.

Double digits? 20 quid? Maybe even 50?

Makes you think why has Hayden been sat on the bench all season. Hes been impresseive.

Technology advances, unfortunately humans do not.

I love Madsen. Best player we've had since Eze. Will be a sad day when he's sold for £10million.

Agreed.

Exactly as I said in my post to create this thread.

I think he has played almost every minute of every game also, certainly one of the players with most minutes. Perhaps only Dunne with more. Very valuable given our current state of fitness.

Usually ok with people repeating my post from weeks ago almost verbatim like it’s their idea.

But Wilkins and Stainrod, you are the exception.

Too late for a run at the Denmark squad for the World Cup? So classy in everything he does.

Clive said an emphatic no a few weeks ago when someone mentioned that and I posted it could be Jimmy Dunne V Madsen for a ticket to the US this summer.
Just saw a quick highlight package but his goal was stunning so calm and composed .Roofed it probably anticipating the keeper getting up and throwing himself in the way .
Must have been a great few minutes in the loft coming high and tight straight at them

I thought this too watching the game, and the thought I came to was, Varane is a more sellable asset so let’s get him in the shop window and play him as much as possible.

For me, Hayden has more to his game. He’s more progressive than Varane is.

One word - intelligent. In everything he does.

Is it too much post-match hype to say he reminds me a tad of Tony Currie and/or Glenn Hoddle (sorry)? Footballers who can really pick an educated pass.

Nico will be getting noticed now, no doubt - a shame, but that is our model.

Give him the POTS award now, what a season this man is having.

Also glad at least in my area in the upper loft that "used to be shite, now he's alright" was taken out of his chant, he deserves a lot better than that

He's one of those players who have the ability to slow everything down around them and find some quality amongst the chaos. He constantly shows for the ball and always seems to find a teammate with a pass. His teammates now look to him for inspiration. It's an incredible turn around from last season and I absolutely love it.

I'm not suggesting Madsen is better than Ale Faurlin, but if you compare their records in the Championship for us Madsen is well ahead on goal involvements per game.

Faurlin, P-118, G-4, A-14 - 18 goal involvements in 118 games, roughly 1 every 6.5 games

Madsen P-61, G-6, A-9 - 15 goal involvements in 61 games, roughly 1 every 4 games

Where's Gazza these days? He used to champion Madsen on here before his 'rebirth'
