One of the great afternoon HQ after last weeks disappointment.
Great team performance.
Not sure who did not track the runner for the Coventry goal, but in fairness it was a quality ball into the box.
When you consider how many players we have out it really does hit home what a great result it was.
Some really good performances from the back four, Vale and Kone with a great goal, but my man of the match was Madsen today.
The ball in for Kone’s goal was quality and the calmness to his finish was outstanding.
Madsen has come on so much from last season and is a top performer week in week out this season.

Kone MOTM . Outstanding today and what a finish for his goal .
Hopefully some of the naysayers will get off his back now. He will probably end up with 10 goals this season which is terrific for his first season .
Bennie came of age today and looks on this performance a very good prospect.
One gripe . We do love conceding headed goals from open play especially down that right hand side . Happens a litte too often .

Fair play to Julie, without Rumarn he’s had to think hard about how we had to change to be more potent going forward and the last two games have been a revelation in that area. Vale has made a massive difference and going with Bennie rather than Kolli was a bold call. And three up at their corners…where have you been all my life? |  | | |

Really pleased for the players and staff today. Last Saturday must have been gut-wrenching. Great to get the win today - personally, I couldn't see where a goal was coming from after they scored (which I think Walsh could have prevented). Very important win today, enables us to go to Charlton and be OK with a point if that is what we have to settle for. Hope we can get the new striker up an running soon. Kone beginning to look like he needs a rest in games after 75 minutes. | | | |

Madsen and Kone were both really good today, as were Vale and (bar the marking for the goal) the whole back line. It really did feel like a professional and whole-hearted team performance from start to finish. I've also been critical of the manager, so credit to him too for his role in the tactical set-up.
We now need to start showing this composure and creativity on the road again. Charlton is winnable, so let's go there and win. |  |

Made a decent side look ordinary, much like last week but this time with us winning.
Hard to fault any of ours.
Was screaming near post near post and Kone left it to exactly the right moment to go and brilliant finish. That’s what he can do when someone gets behind the defence, typical it needed Madsen to do it and not one of our wingers.
Vale was outstanding, as was Hayden. Madsen, different class. Defence barely put a foot wrong and Bennie grew into the game. Was interesting to see a less skilful but strong player out on the right, him attacking everything gave us a different dimension.
Only sad part was once again witnessing one of our tiny widemen struggling with the physicality of this level and leaving the field. This strategy will cost us this season, needs a rethink in the summer. |  | | |

Think that makes Kone 7 for the season (6 league 1 cup)?????
I was sarcastically saying he’d get double figures - but that was shots on target.
Fair play he was superb today.
However I’d still argue his return so far this season is below par. I really loved his physical efforts today, summed up by his “fcuk off, that’s mine” battle with their CB’s one of which ended up with that looped header and a superb save by their keeper.
In all my naysaying I’ve been saying I want him to make me a mug, he’s got the tools but needs to be fitter and shooting more. In his utmost defence I’d agree he’s been too deep and showed today his best work can be done as point man and off balls into the box.

What an excellent way to respond to last week's nightmare ending. Beating the league leaders from a goal down and with a depleted squad.
Kone and Madsen were excellent, but I think the latter wind the motm for his assist and the winner. The defence and Hayden also had very good performances.
As for leaving 3 up for a corner, I have suggested this for a few years now and finally it happened.

My view from the LL is never optimal but I wouldn’t have called it a 4-4-1-1. Obviously it’s all positive vibes and rightly so after this horrendous run but I thought Hayden was poor and that could be the better fit as a position for Edwards, who didn’t have a bad game at right-back by any means. | | | |

From a neutral perspective I think both of the last two home games have been really good competitive games of football.
From a QPR fan's perspective, today was miles better by full time because we won.
